Our server did his best. Front of house is severely mismanaged. We were given a 10 minute wait while there were open tables in the restaurant. Whoever is in the kitchen sounds like a hibachi chef, and the food was fast. Fried stuff comes out so fast it’s still a little too greasy; the crab rangoons came with a big bowl of sweet and sour sauce that was simply too sweet for them. Meat had little to no seasoning. Best part was the size of the poke bowl, but it was so filled that it was impossible to mix and eat, but it was cute. I think our servers name was Henry; he was running like a chicken with his head cut off trying to maintain while another guy meandered around with no urgency and two women stood at the front the whole time. Overall, heart broken for the server, weird flavors, but neat and spread out dining areas.

I recently visited Taste Grill Chinese and Japanese Cuisine in Boone, and it was a great experience! We ordered the Spring Roll and Vegetable Fried Rice both were delicious, but the fried rice was my favorite. It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and not too oily. The portion size was generous, and the food tasted fresh. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Definitely one of the best spots in Boone for Asian food, I’ll be coming back soon.

Genuinely the worst sesame chicken I’ve ever had in my 20 years of ordering sesame chicken every time I get Chinese. Not only is it bad, it’s uniquely bad; watered down sauce, soggy breading, and a taste, almost like cherry juice? This sucked.

This is a good place. I always get General Tso chicken because, well, just because. Photo is for the lunch special which is $13 something with tax without tip. Eat in or take out. At lunch fair size eat in crowd, for supper few.

Our go-to take out Chinese place! The Mongolian beef is my favorite. Tried something new tonight – hibachi chicken – chicken was very tender – the soup that was served with it though was very salty. Not your average hibachi soup but Still a mushroom/onion stock base.

I picked up from here on Christmas. The place was swamped. I placed an order hours earlier and requested it be ready at 745. It wasn’t ready until 830. Of course this isn’t too unexpected because it is Christmas after all. What was unexpected was how good the food was. For 18 dollars I was hoping for generous portions and they did not disappoint. The veggies were fresh and crispy. The meat was good quality. We got chicken with vegetables and human beef as well as some apps. Everything was delicious. A merry Christmas indeed!

The food is normally great but me and my friend keep having issues with it either being over cooked or under cooked.The taste is inconsistent. One day my food will be really spice like it’s supposed to and next taste sweet instead. I recommend coming early in the day before 5pm I noticed it’s mostly a night time issue

So good!! We were served by Eo and she is suuuch a kind server; super attentive while not being overbearing. I had the hibachi steak and it was absolutely the best hibachi i ever had by a mile, and everything else we had was perfectly cooked and delicious!

Mediocre on a good night. About one out of three times it the blandest thing you’ve ever tasted. Yet we still have it from time to time because there simply is no good Chinese food in this town. And prices are pretty high for strip mall below avg Asian food. If there was ONE really good Asian restaurant in this town, there would be a line out the door and at least three other places would be closed in a few weeks. Every time I eat at Taste Grille I ask my self why I waste the money. The hot bar around the corner in Harris teeter is, frankly, better than taste grille.
