Laurella’s is a great addition to Downtown Glens Falls. The lighting, decor, and bar upgrades along with live music on Friday/Saturday nights makes the space warm and welcoming. All of the food was very delicious and generously portioned. The homemade sauces were excellent. All of the staff, specifically our server Brittany, were very friendly. You could tell they all want the restaurant to succeed and were passionate about making sure the food, drinks, and service are top notch. Looking forward to our next walk downtown for another visit!

My aunt and I were looking for a new place to eat and stopped in on a Tuesday evening. We started with the calamari which had a great breading and was not rubbery! We moved on to the chicken Marsala and shrimp scampi which was served nice and hot. The chicken Marsala had a nice splash of heavy cream in the sauce which gave it a great consistency and taste. The shrimp scampi had its own uniqueness as it was served over bucatini pasta which was a nice touch. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the Glens Falls area!!

Had my first experience about a month ago. Sat at the bar, met Blue, she has a great attitude, make you feel welcome and took great care of us, from drinks, to full menu, to refill and making sure we didn’t need anything else. I decided to venture back this weekend. We had awesome authentic Italian food. Great atmosphere, live music, drinks made top notch. We will definitely make it a regular stop!

We decided to finally give this restaurant an try and stopped in on a Saturday evening. We were surprised to find the restaurant and bar pretty much empty but decided to sit at the bar and order drinks and some dinner. The bartender was very friendly but we were disappointed to find they do not have a “specialty cocktail menu”. My husband ordered the burger which he likes very rare and I ordered the flat bread. The burger was rare but it was very thin, the ratio to bun was off and not what was expected even though it was good and cooked as ordered and tasty. We asked if we could get the eggplant fries instead of the regular fries with the burger and was flat out told “No, the chef (owner) would never agree to that and won’t make any substitutions”. We were more than willing to pay an up charge but no, “chef would never go for that”. Sorry, but any good restaurant would do that so not sure what the problem was. In addition, the flat bread was either sausage or pepperoni, I could not get both on it. I assume the chef was told of this but while we did see him wandering around, he never came up to us. Again, the restaurant was just about empty. While we may give it another try, our first impression was disappointing.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Decided to sit at the bar for dinner and so glad we did… Blue the bartender (even on her second day) was awesome with service, mixed great drinks, and made the night really fun. Live music was great and meeting the owner who obviously pours his heart into this place was cool too. The amazing food was like icing on the cake. The penne a la vodka was a ten! So excited to have a clean, comfortable and fun spot for grown folk in downtown.

Saturday nite…3 tables in the whole place and we were 1 of the three. Arrived and were greeted with a friendly welcome. That’s where it stopped. We were seated by the bus boy, and told that someone would be right with us. After 12 minutes of sitting and watching the only other employee behind the bar insesenty talking with a couple at the bar, and not even looking to see what was going on in the restaurant.. We decided to take our business elsewhere. As we were leaving both the busboy and the chatty bartender said have a good night, like they did something for us…absolutely the worst ! We spend our vacation in Glenn’s falls for the last 5 years and by far the worst place we have been to.

Highly recommend this place. Amazing food and our waitress Brittany Alexander was spot on. Very accommodating and helpful in food selections. Friday and Saturdays they have music. Will definitely be going back.

Was very excited to try this place on an early Friday evening for a date with my wife. Stood for awhile before someone greeted us, although she was very nice. We decided to have just a quick bite and a drink at the bar.

I had dinner last night with some friends and it was absolutely delicious! And the inside looks so beautiful and welcoming. We had the pleasure of being taken care of by Brittany, she was the best person who made our night! Everyone’s food was given promptly (as well as our wine re fills 🙂 with homemade sauces AND homemade meatballs this place is to die for. I can’t wait to go back with my girlfriends and make more memories & have another great meal !
