I have to say, I was pretty jazzed to try this place out. And now I can say that I will not go back.
I want to start with the positive. The one positive. The one and only positive. Our server was great. He was right on time with everything and very attentive. He was the best part of our experience.
As far as the atmosphere, I will say it’s very festive but the music seemed to be stuck on repeat and kept playing the same thing over and over and over. It’s enough to drive a person bonkers.
Now on to the drinks. We had the Jalapeño Margarita. The size was fantastic, I will say that. But, it wasn’t spicy. We were really looking forward to a little zip. Nada. Nothing. Zip. Not only that, when the bill came, it was $17! $17 for a margarita?! Ridiculous. Now as you’re reading this, you might be saying, “why didn’t you look at the price?” Great question, there’s no prices on their menu. Awesome.
Let’s talk about the food. We asked for the queso to come with the extremely small amount “salsa.” The queso was $8. I will tell you, that it is not worth it. The quality of the salsa is basically just runny tomato paste with some onions and cilantro. But let’s get onto the main courses.
Presentation was just lacking. It looked bland. But the presentation matched the flavor. I was really excited when I ordered and was just left high and dry the quality of the food.
The check came to $67 for queso, a margarita, and two entrées. That’s two people. Not worth it. I’m happy to say that I tried the place. But won’t be back.
I hope this helps. Cheers.

I recently had the pleasure of being served by Mimi at Las Margaritas in Cottage Grove and I was incredibly impressed. Not only did she craft delicious drinks with precision and speed, even during a busy rush, but her warm and welcoming demeanor truly enhanced the entire experience.
I especially appreciated how attentive she was, effortlessly recalling my drink preference after just one order and engaging in a friendly conversation without ever neglecting other patrons. It was clear that Mimi has a true passion for her craft and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service. She was also incredibly knowledgeable about the drinks menu and offered excellent recommendations that perfectly suited my taste.
The bar area was kept impeccably clean and organized throughout the rush, reflecting a strong work ethic and attention to detail. I would highly recommend Mimi to anyone looking for an exceptional bar experience.”

Nice restaurant with great atmosphere.
Chips and salsa are kind of small. We were 4 people and we did not get any extra, other then a very little basket and a tiny bowl of salsa. The t-bone steak with shrimps was really good. The meat was the best: tasty and juicy all the way. It comes with rice ( which I personally did not like) and a good amount of beans. For dessert I tried the flan and I was very impressed. I loved the creamy / thick texture and the flavor and I highly recommend it.

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious, authentic food. I loved the bright, colorful decor and lights. I had a delicious chimichanga and the chips always come with salsa which tastes just right. We also got the warm cheese dip which is excellent. Our food came lightening fast. It was a wonderful spot to get together and enjoy.

I was hoping to avoid an online complaint so I did call in but no manager available and I doubt they will call me back based off the lackluster vibe from the employee who took my complaint and could hardly muster out an apology or any resolution. Came in for lunch to go order was originally going to order just rice and beans but saw they had the taquitos Mexicanos so tried that. Got home and was severely disappointed. The meat was a brick. Soooooo dry guys and I mean it. Beef jerky had more tenderness than this. They said it was shredded beef but it was just thick cut chunks and they deep fried it to an unpleasant crisp (see photos below) they couldn’t even be bothered to cut the tomato? My question is what the heck happened to this place? It used to be good, fresh presentable. Now this is the third time in a row I’ve been so disappointed. I’m actually for sure done coming here. Please do better: the staff is also not friendly. Last time I was in they shorted me on change! Why ? When you upcharge .75$ to use a card I paid you cash to avoid further charges and due to probably laziness staff didn’t want to get the correct change so you shorted me and you kept the upper hand. Anyone reading this please avoid this establishment. Better Mexican food to be had elsewhere with much friendlier service and proper ethical business practices.

I came here for my birthday on Dec 22,2025. The food was not to bad. I’ve been here a few times and the food has been pretty good. Not excellent. My sister told the waiter it was my birthday. Two men came over to the table with a dessert. They put a sombrero on my head and started singing happy birthday. Then on one side of me, one of the servers started to feed me the whip cream. The I turned and the other server threw whip cream in my face and then all over my clothes. I was in so much shock I didn’t even know how to react. This was so inappropriate to do to a complete stranger. This is not something you don’t just do to anyone. This was not ok at all. You will end up doing this to the wrong person. You could be getting sued. Thank you
We will never say it’s someone’s birthday again.

We just love Las Margaritas Mexican Restaurant! We love the decor in the restaurant. Everything is beautifully painted & has a Mexican theme.
The food is outstanding & very reasonably priced! Our favorites are the fajitas, burritos, tacos & enchiladas! The chimichangas are excellent as well & so is their rice & guacamole!
You also get complimentary chips & salsa, which I believe is homemade & it’s the best I’ve ever had!
The wait staff is always very friendly & attentive. Highly recommend!
