Today we decided to stop here for lunch. The service was excellent. The waitress, Nelly, was very attentive at all times. The atmosphere was very nice, and the presentation of the dishes was very good. However, the rice was very hard. I ordered a chile relleno and it was so sweet it was impossible to eat. I didn’t like the salsa as an appetizer either. I think for a Mexican restaurant, it needs more flavor.

This place was horrible. The beans were sour, Chips and salsa or flavorless, the chicken was also super dry and flavor. This the beef fajita was flavorless, they don’t even have green salsa for the tacos, the only thing That was good was My cup of water. For five mini taquitos, A water, A few slices of avocado was 24 bucks!

Edit to 5 stars!
The beans are awesome now, the food is tasty, enchilada gravy was delicious, the service was really good and attentive. Margaritas were not overly sugary, which I find at a lot of places
2025: I ordered the pastor tacos. It had an off taste. Like chemical or soap or something. The enchiladas and the beef fajita were good. Service and pricing is good! Less than $15/ plate.
Oh! And the crunch tacos…meat had FLAVOR not bland or just salt
Overall, I definitely will be back. Prob the best in brenham tbh.
The only downside is how expensive the basic street tacos/truck tacos are. But I think it’s because all food has skyrocketed the past few yrs.
Refried beans are bland and seasoned with salt. The beef enchiladas -beef was still raw! It was like they cooked the meat, then ran out so they quickly added more and didnt fully cook.
I like they have a play area for kids. Lots of food choices on the childrens menu. And kids drinks ARE included.

This was a random stop on a road trip. I had the Mexican flag enchiladas, which were quite good. The green one was my favorite. Other reviews raved about the queso, but I found it very basic. Really HUGE menu of options. I’d stop again.

My family has been going to this restaurant for years. The food has never been great, but my kids like the playground. We’ve noticed the quality in the food going down over the last year. At this point we just tried to order plates that weren’t “gross”. In general, the restaurant is usually dirty. Also, EVERY time we go, my wife or I have to get up from our table and to go the front to ask someone to refill our drink. Even with all these factors, we still went to the restaurant so our kids could play on the playground. That was until our last visit, when I found a roach in the bottom of my water glass. That was the last straw for me. We will not be returning.

Visited Las Fuentes while traveling to pick up my boat. The atmosphere was ok, and the indoor playground for kids was a nice touch, however, half of the lights were off in our portion of the restaurant and chairs were still stacked.
We only received one salsa and one basket of chips for seven people and had to ask for more. Our drinks were never refilled while we dined.
When our food came out they forgot my cold plate, and the kids queso, otherwise it was delicious.

We have eaten at more than one Las Fuentes, and always enjoyed it. Today at this location in Brenham, the service and speed of receiving our food left a bit to be desired, but the food itself was good. The salsa had a bit of a burn which I like. The charro beans were a little salty but still good, the pico de gallop had a great line twang to it, and the guacamole was not too chunky. My entree, I think it’s called Melissa’s Plate, was chicken and shrimp in a creamy sauce with mushrooms and poblano pepper on a bed of rice. My husband had shrimp tacos. We were both happy with them.
Overall, I will absolutely eat at any Las Fuentes again.

Absolutely delicious! Popping fresh chicharrones and white queso, chunky quacamole, all the stuff of perfection.
California Burrito: rice, beans, cheese, and grilled chicken wrapped in a buttery giant tortilla. A true hungry man’s delight.
Presidente Plate: seasoned just right and grilled to perfection could be easily cut with a fork, this skirt steak arrived sizzling on a bed of peppers and onions, covered with gooey melty cheese and topped off with the most succulent colossal shrimp.
