So I heard about this place from a customer I helped out at work, and since I was in the area, I had to stop by to check it out. The customer I helped happened to be the owner and he was very nice and hospitable to me along with the bartender I dealt with that night, sadly I didn’t remember her name. But the owner comped me a drink and even though the kitchen was closed, him and the cook made sure to accommodate me and cooked me a burger and fries which were delicious. I am very happy with my experience and will come back as often as I can. I also enjoyed the atmosphere and the customers. We all had a nice friendly chat, and I had one with the owner as well. Thank you very much for the experience and hospitality, it meant a lot with what I’m going through, and really made my day and gave me hope and happiness when I needed it most. I wish there were more bar and grills and people like those who work there and the owner like that in the world, things would be a lot better if that were the case. Thank you very much again for an amazing experience, I happily gave a great tip and review. (This review is for the new place which is That Dam Bar, which is what the place is known as now, but sadly Google hasn’t changed it yet.) I also love how they make you feel like a very close friend and/or family, like you’re Norm. Also, the drinks were great, and the bartender knows her craft, and the prices are extremely reasonable, very affordable even.

This is an older traditional neighborhood place- don’t expect trendy, but you may be surprised if a neighbor starts a friendly conversation at the bar. The bar tender, Doyle, is the owner and he doesn’t move fast but he will take care of everything.
Our food was fine bar fare, my pizza was worth every bite.

Strictly a “belly up to the bar” kind of place ☺️. Simple, clean, affordable. We walked in strangers and left feeling like Norm.
The fish was DE-LISH! The husband had a very nice burger and fries. The beer was cold and the bartender/owner was friendly without being pushy. JUST what we were looking for.

Their sweet & sassy wings are on point. Im from johnstown and they are the best wigs around town. Six of their wings are like eating a dozen. Hole in the wall type of place but service is excellent as well. Highly recommended

Went in here with a pal to get food a long while back. Maybe a year ago. We sat at a table. I went up to order drinks and was kicked out because the bartender claimed my friend was stalking her. She said this to the owner and we had to leave. The stalking claim was was an absolute lie. She just simply didnt like the guy. Never had a chance to eat or drink there. Have no desire to even go back. And i make sure to tell everyone what happened to us there
