It’s a cute little place and the service was good but the food is just not that great. Honestly, the pad thai we received was terrible and the noodles looked and tasted like they came out of a lipton soup box, nothing like the photos posted. Seriously it was pretty bad. The red curry is definitely the better choice. More flavorful but still not amazing, there is no tang. I like the idea of the food truck down the street from the house and feel bad to write this review but if it helps you put out better food then it’s worth it. Thank you for listening.

My family and I ended up in Kalaheo as part of a tsunami warning and were struggling to find some food to eat. Everyone had a long wait, so we moved around until we found Lanna Thai. They worked hard to take orders and get food out in a timely manner to everyone who had been displaced by the warning. They stayed open far beyond their normal hours to make sure everyone ate. My family and I are very grateful to have found them. On top of that, we can highly recommend their delicious Thai food. Thank you!!

Serving fresh locally grown ingredients from their farm, the Tom Kha soup and Pad Thai were both so good! Also we had the thai tea and it was yum and refreshing! Ned and the cook staff are all so friendly and wonderful. You can sit outside in the shade on the tables and enjoy while it’s fresh. I love this place, can’t wait to go back. mahalo nui
