My husband and I chose this restaurant for a date night with high expectations. Overall, the experience was very mixed.

The presentation of the food was beautiful, and the atmosphere itself was lovely. Unfortunately, our table placement really took away from the experience. We were seated directly behind the host stand, with constant foot traffic behind us. It felt like we were in the way the entire time. We could overhear host conversations, and guests entering the restaurant were essentially hovering over us while we were trying to eat. It didn’t feel like an appropriate or private spot for diners, especially for a date night.

We started with the blue crab jalapeño fritters with corn — those were absolutely amazing. The sauce paired perfectly, and it was easily one of the best dishes of the night. My husband ordered oysters as well, and they were fantastic. I don’t typically enjoy oysters, but even I was impressed.

For our main courses, I ordered the chicken and my husband ordered the steak. Unfortunately, my chicken was extremely disappointing. It lacked flavor and was soaked in grease to the point that it was difficult to eat. I only managed a couple of bites and ended up just eating the mashed potato purée, which was the only enjoyable part of the plate.

My husband’s steak was a massive cut — easily large enough for two meals — and it was cooked to perfection temperature-wise. However, it tasted overwhelmingly of charbroil, with no noticeable seasoning or depth of flavor beyond a burnt taste. It felt like it had been cooked quickly over high flame rather than prepared with care.

We finished with crème brûlée, which was absolutely delicious and redeemed the meal slightly. That said, the highlight of the entire evening was hands down the cocktails. The bartender was spot on — the drinks were exceptional and the most memorable part of our night.

For a $200 dinner, this was not a memorable or worthwhile dining experience for us. While I wouldn’t return for the food, I would absolutely come back to sit at the bar for cocktails.

Overall rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)

Amazing food, atmosphere, and service!
We’ve traveled all over the world and were amazed to find world-class cuisine and a truly exceptional experience right here in Belleville! The menu changes frequently based on the freshest farm-to-table offerings, which makes every visit unique.

The filet mignon was perfectly seasoned—so flavorful it needed no extra sauces. My husband’s blackened mahi mahi was even better than the one we had in Hawaii! The chef truly delivered a masterpiece on every plate.

We live in Houston and would be here every week if it weren’t an hour’s drive away. And a special thank you to our server, Paige, whose warm personality, attentiveness, and top-notch service made the evening unforgettable.

Compliments to both the chef and our server, Paige—an excellent experience all around!

Went for late brunch. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxed. Staff was friendly and food was delicious. Perfect portion sizes. We came hungry and were not disappointed! There were kid’s menu items too.
I appreciate their support for local ranchers and farmers and you can tell the ingredients are extremely fresh and great quality.

This is a 5 star hidden gem! I didn’t look bougie walking in, but my standards are high. I recommend the ravioli and my husband loved the fish. The hot tea with honey was a nice addition to the rainy day. Excellent service.

Food was bright, well thought out, and creative. The tomatoes were wonderful…I would go with less Russian dressing and let them be the star of the dish.

First time customer. Just passing through as I had family that called Belleville home for many decades and I occasionally pass through to visit their grave sites. Anyway, we were starving and this place seemed like a good choice. We were greeted and seated quickly. Miguel got our drink order and the fried brie appetizer. The brie was very good, especially with the berry sauce. My egg white frittata was also excellent especially with their pickled pepper sauce. Miguel kept the refills coming regularly, which I love as I hate asking for them. My girlfriend had a Bee’s Knees and a New York Sour, both of which were done extremely well. I rarely give 5 star reviews, but in this case it is warranted. Thank you for the great experience. Highly recommended.

So glad we found this place. We visit the Bellville meat market a few times a year. So to have such a nice fun place to go is amazing. Food was great very different from the normal menu. We had the smoked fish dip, loved it. The stuffed quail and butternut squash ravioli. We were impressed. The bar drinks were very good as well. Can’t wait to go back!!

Nice restaurant with good, interesting menu items. I would like to see more than one meatless choice, but the one choice is usually great. Had the pumpkin ravioli last time, great flavors but too much oil. Good starters and salads as well.

The Peach Salad is typically a refreshing dish that combines fresh peaches, greens, and other ingredients like cheese, nuts, and vinaigrette dressing. Schnitzel is a breaded and fried pork cutlet. It’s a popular dish in German cuisine. Brussels sprouts are a served in a honey flavor and were delicious. Crab and corn fritters are very crispy deep-fried patties made with a mixture of crabmeat, corn, and various seasonings.

The portions are huge – be ready
