We had an outstanding dining experience at Landry’s thanks to our amazing server, Cliff. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from start to finish.
The Mango Mojito is must!
The Oysters Rockefeller were fresh and flavorful—definitely a must-try appetizer. For dinner, we had the Maple Bourbon Salmon with potatoes and broccoli, and it was cooked to perfection. The balance of sweet and smoky flavors on the salmon was incredible, and the sides complemented the dish perfectly.
Cliff checked in often without being intrusive and made great recommendations throughout the meal. Overall, it was a wonderful evening with excellent food and even better service. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Had the crab, spinach and artichoke dip, followed by the crab and shrimp linguine. The shrimp were over cooked but it was delicious in spite of that.
The service was phenomenal. If you go to this location, ask for James.
Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and so personable. Five star service all the way.

I recently had lunch at Landry’s Seafood in Galveston with a large group of six, including both adults and kids, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. As someone with a gluten sensitivity, I was immediately impressed by the fact that they offer a dedicated gluten sensitive menu. It made ordering simple and stress free, and I truly appreciated not having to second-guess my options.
I decided on the broiled sea bass, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. I’d asked our server, Landon, for guidance on the different preparations broiled, pan seared, or blackened and he explained the textures and flavors of each with care. Based on his description, I went with the broiled version, which had a delicate, flaky texture and rich flavor that was exactly what I was craving. I also asked to substitute the usual rice and vegetable sides for double vegetables instead, and they were more than happy to accommodate. The spinach was especially delicious and paired beautifully with the sea bass.
The rest of the group had an equally enjoyable experience. My son ordered the Fish Po’Boy sandwich, which arrived in a portion so generous it could only happen in Texas. He loved it and couldn’t finish it all, though he certainly tried. My younger son had the salmon, one of Landry’s signature dishes, and he thought it was fantastic. My husband went with the red snapper topped with crab meat and said it was one of the best seafood dishes he’s had in a long time.
While I usually avoid sweet drinks, I decided to try the peach sangria and I’m so glad I did. It was light, refreshing, and had a wonderfully unique flavor. It was the kind of drink that feels like a little vacation in a glass, and I highly recommend it.
Our server, Landon, deserves a special mention. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely attentive throughout the entire meal. He made sure all of our needs were met and helped make the experience even better.
All in all, Landry’s delivered a fantastic lunch, great food, wonderful service, and a menu that truly accommodates different dietary needs without compromising on flavor or variety. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Galveston.
The standout was the lobster bisque. If you appreciate a proper lobster bisque, this one delivers. Rich, creamy, and full-bodied without being heavy. The flavor was deep and refined — the kind of dish that makes you want to go home and try to replicate it yourself. At $13, it’s more than fair. My wife and I shared it, and it was worth every dollar.
We also ordered the Captain’s Platter, and it did not disappoint. The fried shrimp, oysters, cod, stuffed shrimp, and calamari were all done right. Clean taste, not fishy, lightly coated, crisp without being greasy, and seasoned properly. The breading complemented the seafood instead of overpowering it. The sauces tied everything together nicely.
They also had a strong selection of beers on tap which we were happy to try . They also have an extensive wine list. If you enjoy wine or consider yourself a bit of a connoisseur, you’ll appreciate the options available.
Overall, a very pleasant experience from start to finish. We would absolutely return
