Best breakfast in the Indian Lake area! Staff is always friendly, homefries are real potatoes and eggs are always perfectly cooked to order. If you’re feeling indulgent, the cinnamon swirl pancake with pecans is delicious. It’s hard to find a good diner these days that has orange marmalade at the table and the swirl rye toast calls for it!

It’s always so much fun. We came by boat and had a few drinks. Someone in our group got the fish sandwich. He said it was very good. The atmosphere is always nice. They have a nice patio out back with a bar. Bruce is the nicest guy.We always enjoy talking with him!

We have a place at the lake and were looking for a new place to eat so we decided on The Landing Tavern for dinner on Friday August 4 around 7pm…TERRIBLE DECISION! We walked in and were never greeted so we seated ourselves inside. 4 waitresses were working and looked at us multiple times but it took them 15 minutes, literally, to come over and then our waitress said “oh, did you just sit down because I didnt see you”. We answered that NO we have been here. It wasn’t just us because as we sat there we noticed that others were looking around wondering when they would be waited on as well. Finally she came and took our orders. It took 30 minutes to get our appetizers and we only received 1 (even though we asked for the other to come out first). 2 of us ordered the fish special and let’s just say it left a lot to be desired. We had to walk up to the bar and ask for refills 3 times as our waitress spent most of her time outside or SITTING in a chair at the bar. 1person in our party didn’t even receive her food (it was only a grilled chicken sandwich) until we were ready to leave. None of us finished our food as it was truly terrible. We tried to be patient and think positively but that got shot down quickly. And it wasn’t just us, as two other tables got up and left too. We wanted to give this place a shot because we’ve heard good things about it but we will not be returning. I’d also like to add that we asked if we could have the sandwich taken off the bill because we didn’t get it until after we had asked for our checks and a different waitress said she would go outside and get OUR waitress to come in and address this. After 5 minutes or so our waitress came in and walked past us 5 times over 5 minutes and never said a word to us! We just paid the bill and left! Terrible service and terrible food!

The people are friendly and we loved the atmosphere. We ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and they were good but i asked for a plate, fork and ranch dip. Never got it. Although the burger was tasty it was overcooked to my request. My husband had a brisket sandwich which consisted of a huge bun and one slice of brisket.

We just went there. We sat down at a table next to where the waitress was. A local came in and before his coat was off she was taking his order. This happened four times with full tables. Just 2 of us. We weren’t even acknowledged. Try to be in order or JUST GREET YOUR CUSTOMERS.

Food was excellent!! The young man serving us was very kind and had a good sense of humor. The men’s room was a little awkward…. but whatever. Look forward to visiting in the summer for the outside experience. Highly recommend

This tavern was super busy. Probably took twice as long as a normal restaurant, but I think it is because they cook fresh food to order. Eggs were cooked perfectly over easy. There is plenty of hash and gravy on the plate. The style of corned beef hash seems to be large fried potatoes with deli sliced corned beef. Perhaps that is a regional style within Ohio. It is unlike what I have had in Texas, San Francisco, or even Columbus. Not the best overall, but the best in Indian Lake. I look forward to trying other breakfast fare. We will be back to the Landing Tavern before any other local place.
