This plates are NOT worth $28‼️$20 would be more reasonable.

This family owned restaurant has been around for a very long time and it’s still a good restaurant to go have lunch or dinner. I just don’t think that they are as good as they used to be years ago. The food is average at best and the service is good. The biggest thing that they concentrate on is the liquor, to be more specific Margaritas, a big money maker for them. The parking lot is dark as well as the outside of the building, most of the bulbs were burned out. The inside is decorated nicely, to give you the impression that you’re in a place down in Mexico. For years they ruled Little Village and the Chicagoland area, but somewhere along the line lost it.

I went on Sunday and they had a lunch buffet from 11-2. I think it was $14-$15 per person and then drinks are separate. They had chicken enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, rice, beans, and a bunch of other stuff. Tacos too but the person making the tacos wasn’t there when I got my food, he was there after but I over filled my plate so didn’t go back for more. Service was great as my waitress was tentative and friendly.

Lalo’s has good food and a great atmosphere. A great date night spot whether inside or in the outdoor patio. The bar area is fun at night as well.

One of my faves for almost everything. Consistent service and food. Nice to have this in the neighborhood and don’t have to go all the way into the City for it. Great value for the price. One of my favorite Pina Coladas! We LOVE Lalos!

Of all my reviews, this is the first time I have given a 5 star I think. We really really loved this place – everything about this place was really great.
First the ambiance – check my photos for a look at the interior. Very cozy feeling, great atmosphere, lots of distinctive wall arts, furniture and ambiance. We went on a Saturday evening peak time when it was really crowded. Due to its popularity, hostess said the wait for 45 minutes, but it was more like 20mins. They looked at the crowd and extended other seating area – I was impressed with their professionalism.
Second the food – putting aside everything needed a little bit more salt and spice (we love spicy food) the food was extremely tasty – you know that they were all freshly made by the taste. No after smell or after taste. We are vegetarians so our waitress helped us with nonmeat alternatives – she was super good and nice to us. And very attentive throughout. All in all everything tasted really yummy.
Their Mariachi’s were really good – they were out for a really long time and playing very catchy songs that lulled the entire restaurant. Quite talented group of people.
And you’ve gotta try their desert – Mexican Fried Icecream and the tres leches cake – OMG it was so tasty.
It is popular so expect to wait for some time especially if you come during peak days/times.
And it is not cheap but you get tasty food in return.

I’m so happy my wife and I found a Lalo’s restaurant in Roselle in Schaumburg. Outstanding service even when busy. The food is nice, hot and tasty. It’s absolutely worth. Our waitress was pretty darn busy but was on point with serving my wife and I. We were patient but wow impressed with everyone at Lalo’s restaurant. The Aztec plate is the BEST, grill shrimp, steak, chicken and chorizo wow. Amazing!!!. This place is well worth it. The margaritas are not sugary or watered down. This place is rocking and am great full to see them delivering such great service and outstanding food. If there’s anything negative maybe the soup was a little warm and not hot. But an absolute great place to eat, relax and dinebut where’s the live music lol

First time here tonight. I liked that we could chill in the car while waiting for our table. Our server was on point educating and making recommendations. The margarita was good, big drink for a good price. Food was great , shared a combination of food between two people. I’ll be back to try more margaritas and food !
