The Long Island was lemony and fresh, and the carbonara was filling and delicious. First at a Ruby Tuesday and the salad bar did not disappoint! Great server great food!
Ruby Tuesday – Columbia, TN
This location is an absolute disgrace to the Ruby Tuesday brand and a serious public-health concern. The dining-room floor is beyond dirty — it is destroyed. The surface is so caked in black grime and old gum that it doesn’t even resemble flooring anymore. Your shoes stick with every step, and it looks more like the floor of an abandoned drug house than a family restaurant.
This isn’t a matter of needing a good mopping — this floor is past cleaning. It needs to be completely ripped out and replaced. Families bring their children here. If I walked into a home with a floor in this condition, child protective services would remove the children for neglect. Yet somehow this establishment is still open to the public, serving food over it.
The salad bar was the only halfway decent part of my visit, though some of the lettuce had wilted brown edges. Even so, the surrounding filth made it impossible to enjoy the meal. The lack of basic sanitation and oversight is unacceptable for any business, especially one under a national brand name.
To Ruby Tuesday Corporate and the Maury County Health Department:
This restaurant is unsanitary, unsafe, and unfit to operate in its current condition. It requires immediate inspection, remediation, and full flooring replacement before another customer is served. Until then, it should be closed for public health reasons.
On a positive note:
The only thing that overshadowed the condition of this restaurant was my server. Rebecca (listed on my bill) was outstanding — professional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind despite the environment she’s forced to work in. She delivered five-star service under one-star conditions, and she deserves to be recognized.
Ruby Tuesday has always been one of my favorite chains to eat at — I’ve always loved their salad bar. I simply cannot believe corporate allows one of their restaurants to operate in this condition, putting customers’ and children’s health at risk. Just wow.
Did notice, though, that the lighting fixture above our table is desperately in need of a good dusting (that’s not a pink lampshade, supposed to be red)… didn’t notice til we finished our meal or would have asked for a different table… hate to think those dustballs are falling into plates of food!
Great service and food!!!!
When the host seated us, she had to clear and wipe down the table before we could even sit. The table was sticky — and sadly, so was just about everything else in the building. Not a great first impression.
Our server was very friendly and took our order quickly, but service went downhill from there. It took an extremely long time to receive our food and drinks — long enough that we genuinely wondered if our order had ever been placed. While we were waiting, multiple servers were running food and drinks in our section, but they repeatedly brought items to the wrong tables. There seemed to be no organization at all.
The table next to us waited forever for their shrimp pasta, and when it finally arrived, it had no shrimp. The guest had to stand up and track down the server to fix it. She was told it would be right back — it was another 20+ minutes before the shrimp arrived. By that point, she asked for boxes and her check.
When our food finally came out, it was extremely disappointing. The ribeye looked like a plastic display steak. The silverware was dirty. My partner’s sliders were significantly undercooked, and we overheard the table behind us also dealing with undercooked meat. At that point, we were done.
We asked for our check immediately because we didn’t want to risk waiting another 30 minutes just to pay. Our server clearly saw that we hadn’t touched our food but didn’t ask if anything was wrong, didn’t offer replacements, and didn’t check in. After the wait and the quality issues, some acknowledgment would have gone a long way.
We honestly should have walked out when we saw the condition of the table. Between the cleanliness, disorganization, undercooked food, and overall lack of follow-up, this experience was unacceptable. This location seriously needs attention.
When we first arrived, the tables weren’t even clean. The host was still wiping down our table as we were being seated. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. She claimed she had put in our order, but it took an unusually long time to arrive—even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all.
When my partner’s steak finally came out, she wouldn’t even eat it—it was very dry and completely lacking in seasoning. She ended up only eating the baked potato. I had three sliders, and two of them were fully cooked. The one I tried to share with my partner was undercooked, which was really concerning.
The table behind us even confronted the cook about similar issues, but we couldn’t wait as we had to be somewhere else before closing. Overall, the service was terrible, and the food was far below expectations. Very disappointing experience.
