This was my first time getting Haitian food, so I can’t say how it ranks overall compared to other Haitian places, but this is definitely one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The pork was amazing and crispy and the fat melted in my mouth, and the portion size was great, especially with the plantains. If I lived here I would eat here all the time!

A little disappointed.. food is on the salty side. The legume is bitter. The order also came out wrong, no fried plantain as ordered when I opened the food at home. Even if you ran out of it, I wished you should have called or informed me to get a different option.

The food is okay but be prepared to wait at least 2hours to get your food. I called 5:30 arrived 6:15 and they started cooking my food when I got there. It’s going on 7:30 and my food still isn’t ready. Customer service sucks over the phone. No point in calling they just answer for fun at this point.

Really good food and extremely good service. Their griot is wonderful. NB: It is a small place, not the ideal to eat over there, especially in groups.

The plantains were very good. A unique flavor profile that is hard to come by. The seasoning is not overpowering, and the ingredients are used in a manner that is very different from “normal” cuisine, which makes Lala interesting. The bean sauce is also quite good. Worth trying if you want something different.

The food tasted great. I had to save some for tomorrow at work. I’m full!

The nastiest so called “Haitian Food” I ever tasted. I make way better “Haitian” food than this being Cherokee Indian.

Food is always great, but I just can’t imagine what takes them soo long to prepare plates. Calling ahead doesn’t even work. Is the food not prepared in large batches already?

My go to restaurant for cheap haitian food. Pleasant staff but the wait can be long. But for the $5.50 specials its worth the wait. The food sometimes is a hit or miss. I normally order the fried chicken or griot. Not much of an ambience but its clean. Ms. Lala is a gem and my daughter loves this restaurant.

I brought a 5 dollar plate an not even an hour later I threw up everything . This isn’t the first time neither. I thought that I had a stomach bug an it wasn’t the the rice is from like the day before an they just refresh it an put in a plate an serve you. Never again would they get my hard earn money.
