Love myself a good diner/ breakfast spot. Lake Wally did not disappoint. Love all the local support & advertising. Very community focused. Tiny little restaurant serving up BIG flavors. Had a delicious GF waffle. So yummy. GF can be funny, but this was delicious! Our table enjoyed many different choices. Then menu is vast. Please support local when visiting Hawley.

Ordered Party heroes, 1 Italian, 1 American and 1 chicken cutlet. The chicken cutlet incredible, breading was outstanding not just plain breading.
Bread is from Anthony and Sons in NJ, really good bread.
Italian and American cold cuts excellent not a lower quality cold cut. Sandwiches were stacked, no cutting back.
They’ll be doing all our Catering from now on.
Bye Bye Arthur Ave Sandwich shop, no comparison. 15 minute ride well worth it.

Best breakfast in Hawley. Great beef/pork hash( lake wally hash). Cheese steak omelette was fantastic. Owners sister was so friendly and the waitress Bree was so friendly and cheerful. I hardly give 5s but they deserve it

There was no space inside for 9 people, so we sat outside. The customer service was amazing. The food was alright. The strawberry cheesecake French toast was yummy. It was only good because of the icing, other than that it was nothing special. The honey garlic sauce for the wings were wack. But the wings it-self was crispy and juicy inside. The biscuit and gravy wasn’t good. The french onion soup and grilled cheese was a good combo.
6.5/10.

I love this place so much. The menu has so many interesting options and food combinations and everything we ordered was fresh. Good portions, tasty food, excellent service – our server was so personable and witty. The cakes and pastries were also amazing – the best raspberry crumb ever. Also, first time I’ve seen French onion grilled cheese and it was every bit as good as it sounds – and also comes with fries and a cup of French onion. One of my new favorite spots in the area.

Stopped for Brunch on way back from a Day trip.
Carly & Sage made us feel right at home & gave us Great Service.
It was so nice to see the Chefs happily cooking away!
I had a Bacon Egg & Cheese and Hubby had an omelet with all the fixings, both were delicious!
I would highly recommend eating here & hope to be back soon myself!

Quick review for non-Celiacs:

My husband and kids enjoyed everything they ordered, raving specifically about the chocolate chip pancakes and French toast! Definitely recommend.

Celiac & Gluten Sensitive review:

While our family was vacationing in Hawley, this spot was supposed to be our breakfast stop since they’re rated highly on Find Me Gluten Free.

As a symptomatic Celiac, I needed a safe place to eat and this seemed like the perfect place.

Our first experience was better than the second. There were no available tables inside, so I called my order in. The person I spoke with understood that I needed to eliminate the risk of cross contamination and assured me the food was safe. As far as gluten free French toast goes, it was good!

Our second experience was not as great. I called in again the following day, wanting to eliminate ordering from multiple places for our family of five, and I requested my gluten free order be bagged separately. There was zero assurance from the person I spoke with and our order was put all together in one bag. I did not feel comfortable eating as if there was a cross contamination issue, I could potentially be sick for days. It wasn’t worth the risk.

Excellent food. Excellent service!!! We arrived somewhat early on Sunday (8:30 am) and good thing we did because it gets busy here! Tried the corned beef hash platter and the Philly cheese steak breakfast item. I liked their interpretation of the corned beef hash. The beef was real and the dish very tasty. I wish it had more beef and less potato, but not bad. The Philly cheese steak was also good, especially the bread. #recommended #bechego

Lake Wally Cafe Oct 2025: We ordered the boat omelet, Lake Wally hash, coffee. Both meals were very good. Coffee was brewed stronger than most dinners, that’s a good thing. When traveling back thru this area we would definitely visit again. Good attentive wait staff. Breakfasted at 8am and this small restaurant quickly filled up by 8:30a.
