We stopped in here and HOLY WOW! I was not expecting this slice of Heaven! It’s a quaint, clean little restaurant that feels like a step back in time. Think “Mel’s Diner” in the middle of Lake Alfred, which, incidentally is where I grew up. We ordered the open face meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli soup, corn nuggets, and then Salisbury Steak with chili, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans which sent me into another dimension! The food tasted farm fresh, the service was quick, friendly, and excellent! THIS is how dining SHOULD be! Very pleased, we will be back!

Excellent fried chicken. You can tell it’s fried fresh with clean oil. Amazing value as well if you’re on a budget. Only negative thing I can think of would be the water, recommend getting something else to drink here.

I walked into this restaurant at 2:30. I was greeted offered to sit to order something asked if I could use the restroom first went into the restroom came back out and was told they were closed at 2:30. Well then why did you offer me a seat in the first place the woman was rude as hell didn’t even get to try the food and I guarantee you I never will cause I will never come back learn how to treat your customers and if I’m in the door at 2:30 and you offer me a seat and then turn around and tell me I’m sorry we’re closed. That’s very bad for business. FYI Work customer service for 33 years have never in my life been treated like that. !!!

Food was delicious, our table ordered the chicken & biscuits, cornbeef hash and biscuits and gravy as well as some pancakes for the sweet tooth. Our server was friendly and took great care of us, with constant drink refills and quick service. Loved sitting on the patio area, they are pet friendly as well!

Work friend suggested this place. Was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. Seems very fresh, from the bread to the homemade coleslaw. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu options. Seems very clean, slightly outdated decor. People wore mask and some didn’t, majority of them did. I didn’t see anybody wearing a mask when they got up and moved around, like to the bathroom or leaving. Very hometown cooking, was great.
