If you’re looking for an amazing place for food, this is it! A hole in the wall gem restaurant, you can tell its all about taste and quality here. Very good atmosphere, cleanliness is spot on, and the food is to die for! I can vouch that this is authentic Vietnamese food, the owner is very polite, hospitable, and friendly in regards to all their customers and so are the staff! I, myself am very picky on my culture’s cuisine and i must say if you’re looking for authentic cuisine, I cannot say enough great things about the taste, texture, and flavor of this place! I would totally recommend this place to everyone! So whether you’re in the mood for a plate of Rice plate meat, chicken, or vegetables (vegan) or a nice bowl of speciality Pho to cure your hangover, is now my Go To Spot! We’re new to Bastrop and have been on the hunt for a good Vietnamese restaurant and Lab C Food Kitchen did not disappoint! I have pretty high standards when it comes to Asian food, and I can honestly say they delivered so well.
We started with the shrimp and pork egg rolls, and wow they were big, super flavorful, and served piping hot. I ordered the All-in-One Pho and it was delicious, hearty broth, tender meats, and very comforting. My husband got the beef stir fry with fried rice, and everything on his plate was packed with flavor. The beef was tender with that nice grilled taste, and the sauce and fried rice were both really good. Plus, the portions were generous definitely not stingy!
A special shout-out to Helen, who took care of us from the moment we walked in until we left. She was warm, welcoming, and just amazing overall.
We’ll definitely be recommending Lab C Food Kitchen and will absolutely be coming back!

This place is wonderful! The food, service, and hospitality were truly top-tier. We came on a Saturday, so I was able to try their seafood boil, and it was amazing. I ordered the garlic butter, but since I was also interested in trying the Cajun flavor, the chef personally came out and brought me a small bowl so I could taste it with my seafood — such a thoughtful touch.
My wife tried the phó with pork dumplings, and she said it was some of the best broth she’s ever had. The owner personally came out to talk with us and was extremely welcoming, which made the whole experience feel even more special.
Overall, it was a 10/10 for the food and a 10/10 for the service. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place!

One thing about it! This will ALWAYS be my favorite spot for a good pho! I got the large steak and brisket which I can always get 2 servings out of ! Hits the spot every time! Super friendly staff. I was offered something to drink while i waited too. Awesome!

First time eating here. We were in town for the night traveling through Bastrop. Best pho I’ve ever tried! I ordered the shrimp and wonton noodle soup and it was so flavorful and satisfying! The fried dumplings were delicious and tasted fresh. Their level 5 spicy sauce had amazing flavor. We also got a beef stir fry bowl and it was fresh and tasty as well.

The food is wonderful however my issue is, the last time I ordered food to go, I was hit with an additional $4 on my card. My original total was $26.84 yet the next day, my total was $31.00. Somebody must’ve took a nice $4 tip for themselves. That doesn’t feel too well knowing I’m supposed to be trusting and this happens. Heads up.

Ben our server was amazing and suggested the broccoli tofu for myself as a vegetarian this was an incredible suggestion it was so delicious and the tofu was perfectly crisp with flavor and spice level 3 was kicking. Shout out to Gilbert, the owner, who has successfully created such a relaxing environment with one-of-a-kind flavor profiles. Also, Anh at the cash register was wonderful and made my little sister’s birthday so special and memorable. Thank you!

The pho was good, the staff and service was friendly. My mother and I sat inside and it was hot as hell, it must have been 80-85 inside so if you dont mind sweating while you eat no problem. One of the staff members had half a shirt on because im sure if we were sweating they for sure were in the kitchen.
Pho had good meat and good broth and came with the usual bean sprouts etc. The herbs werent that fresh had black spots on them but I dont really care and still ate them and they tasted good. The limes were great.
Overall I’d say if you can wear shorts and a tank top and sandals it might not be that bad and the food is good enough to justify.

Just tried this spot in BASTROP, and I gotta say it was amazing! The service was top-notch. The servers were super attentive and helpful. Gilbert, the owner, mentioned they had crawfish, so we went for 6 lbs. The flavor was perfect (we got the LABC Special with level 2/5 spice, and it was spicy tho). We also ordered some pho, and honestly, it was the best pho I’ve ever had in my life. Highly recommend this place!

Food was great, and service was even better! They were very welcoming and attentive. My sister and I had the Pho – no meat with the chicken broth, very yummy and they let me have extra sprouts at no charge! The fried dumplings were also delish, though I think I’d prefer soy sauce to the dipping sauce they provided, which was a spin on it.
I learned the owners are very involved in the community! Which is very refreshing, I’m pretty sure it was the owner/husband that visited our table twice to check in.
