From the moment I walked into La Tequila, I felt welcomed and at home. As soon as I sat down, I was greeted with a basket of fresh chips and salsa, and when I asked for guacamole, it was brought to me right away—talk about great service!
I ordered the chicken quesadilla, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were rich, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the portion size was generous. I still can’t believe I got to enjoy such a delicious meal at such a competitive price. It’s hands down better than any of the big chain fast-food restaurants.
If you’re in Grand Rapids and love supporting local restaurants, La Tequila is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Surprisingly good authentic food. Service was fast and accurate and our server was personable with a great sense of humor. If I lived nearby I’d be here often. We had a burrito, chimichanga, enchilada, horchada, and fried ice cream. Every item was delicious.

Traveling for work and business and was looking for authentic Mexican restaurant. I was referred here and it didn’t disappoint!!! I ordered Chicken Burrito and it was fabulous!! Super big portion, was a big soft tortilla filled with just the right seasoned shredded chicken topped with incredible tasting burrito sauce. Definitely going to come here every time I’m back in town! Food was super quick, very hot- just the right temperature! Everything fairly and reasonably priced- I was able to get Burrito and beverage for under $20!

Sorry to say, did not have a good experience here today, because this is my go-to restaurant when I’m in Grand Rapids. I ordered my usual, and the steak was bad. When the Server asked how it was, I told him the steak is not good. He wanted to know specifically what is was, the sauce or the way it was cooked. I said the steak is old. He seemed defensive, so I just said, “that’s ok, I just won’t eat it.” He didn’t do anything to try and fix it. He didn’t refill my water when it was empty, although he did ask if I wanted a to-go box. At the cash register, again he asked how everything was and I said, “Not great. There’s something wrong with the steak.” He said, “Oh, you didn’t like it.” No apologies or anything. The rest of the food was excellent. He was in denial or inexperienced. Maybe too many people try to take advantage, who knows. I was trying to be helpful. If I had a bad product, I would want to know. I don’t know if I’ll come here again. I’m sad because they were my favorite, but not anymore.
