Myself and my husband ate here before a show at the Mayflower, and it was brilliant. I’ve driven past countless times but we’d never been before.
We shared a mushroom arancini from the specials board, then I had vegetable fettuccine and he had creamy tomato and chorizo gnocchi from the specials. We shared a cheesy garlic bread. He then convinced me into pudding, I had profiteroles and he had tiramisu.
The garlic bread is the best garlic bread I’ve ever had. We probably spent 5-10 minutes discussing how perfect it was. Unlike any garlic bread I’ve had before, but utterly perfect! You have to try it if you go.
The staff were great, really fast and attentive service, friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean and the decorations were all lovely.
The prices were reasonable and reflected the quality of the food, it’s cheaper than other Italian restaurants in the area, and I think our meal was really worth the price.
It’s worth bearing in mind that the toilets are up two flights of stairs, so may be tricky for older or less able people, it was fine for us though (though after all the food I did think I may have a heart attack walking up there).
We’ll definitely be going back and telling others about this place.

Great Italian restaurant. Been here multiple times and the foods always brilliant. Good selection of choices on the menu and specials board. Always happy to return. The restaurant has always been nearly empty when we go so not much atmosphere, but if you’re looking for a very quiet restaurant then it’s perfect.

Hands down, the best Italian restaurant in Southampton!
We tried the fettuccine salmon and the calzone for mains, followed by tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Everything was a 10/10. The flavours and freshness made it feel like having a meal in Italy itself.
Even though the restaurant was busy during dinner, the service was excellent, and our food arrived sooner than expected.

Lovely! I had a crab penne off of the specials board and my partner had the lasagne. Servers were brilliant and very friendly as well ❤️

The profiteroles are the best I’ve ever had, highly recommend! Incredible menu and worth a visit if you’re feeling something Italian. I went here for a friend’s birthday and the service was brilliant. Considering how many people we had (15 or so) all our food was hot and came out in very good time.

Absolutely amazing service was super fast and staff were very friendly and helpful with food options. It was delicious 100% will go again. And we didn’t get any allergen things however I did see that they offer for things like gluten free and things which is amazing!

Great, very relaxed evening dining in. Characterful decor, plenty of space for larger groups with a large room available upstairs.
Food was tasty and filling. Wholesome but just lacked a little something for me (just personal preference, hence 4 rather than 5 stars for food) but would still recommend.
Save space for desert!
Staff were extremely welcoming, happy, friendly and accommodating.

I had my 30th birthday organized by this restaurant, and I was truly amazed! The set out was beautiful, and the atmosphere was lovely. The service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. A really warm and authentic feeling atmosphere from the moment you walk in, clearly a family run business. The staff are excellent, very attentive and keen to provide an outstanding service.
The menu has a great selection, with plenty of choice and several specials on offer depending on what is available fresh that day. The prices are exceptionally reasonable, and the food is of very good quality. The portions are generous, and there is very little to fault.
On the Sunday we visited, the restaurant was unusually quiet, but I imagine even on a busier night you’re likely to get a space as there are many tables arranged over two floors. They seem happy to accommodate larger groups also.

I was there on 25/01/2024 around 19:00 and found the restaurant with enough free seats and I liked that a lot because the chef had time to make me food quietly without the pressure of orders. The girl who served me was very kind and extremely attentive to customers.
The food was super basic, nothing extraordinary, but for the asking price you shouldn’t have high expectations.
