Whether you found this place on your own or through social media influencers, this place does not disappoint when it comes to dumplings! We ordered six dishes for the table: Chicken Stir fry thick cut Noodles, shrimp, pork, and chives pan fried dumplings, sweet and sour pork, scallion pancakes, Shanghai Soup Dumplings, and Pan fried pork buns. The noodles and the pork buns were far too salty & greasy — and the least favorite of the table. The pan fried shrimp pork and chives dumplings were divine and the table favorite. The sweet and sour pork was surprisingly good and tasted great with rice. Highly recommend this restaurant!

NOT quality !!! I wanted to like it so much but the beef was the cheapest tasting beef ever and we could not eat past first bite had to spit it out and dumplings were nothing special at all . The prices are too high for bad quality food . I wanted to send it back but I don’t believe they would have taken it either way and give me a refund . Oh well you win some you lose some .

The pork is overcooked and chewy. Dish portion is noticeably smaller than what’s advertised on the menu. Bamboo shoots stink. The buns taste well, but the bottoms don’t hold well. Vibe is good though.

Good food for a good price. Soup dumplings could’ve had more soup, but they tasted good. Highly recommend the pan fried pork dumplings. Crispy and juicy. Good ratio of meet. The stir fried noodles were good too, although there could’ve been a higher noodle ratio. Overall, solid food and good portions for the price point!

Misled by all the 5-star reviews, my friend and I drove over 30 minutes thinking we were about to have an amazing meal. Huge mistake. This place was mediocre at best and honestly one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a while. First red flag: the water. It literally tasted like bleach. How do you mess up water? For the prices they charge, you’d think they could at least afford filtered water. We ordered a bunch of dishes to give the place a fair shot. Spicy Szechuan beef, steamed pork and cabbage dumplings, Shanghai soup dumplings, cumin lamb skewers, and chicken fried rice. Every single dish somehow managed to disappoint. The dumplings were bland and lifeless, like they forgot seasoning exists. The fried rice tasted days old, dry, grainy, and sad. The Szechuan beef was swimming in oil to the point where it felt more greasy than spicy. Trying to wash that down with bleach-flavored water made it even worse. The lamb skewers weren’t memorable either. Service was just… there. Nothing special, nothing that made up for the food. We spent well over $100 and couldn’t even finish most of it. For those prices, you expect bold, flavorful food, not bland dumplings and oily and low quality meat. Honestly, frozen dumplings from the grocery store have more flavor than this place.
Total waste of money, time, and gas. Save yourself the trip.

We came here for lunch and ordered the soup dumplings and the Sichuan hot boiled fish—both were absolutely delicious. The hot boiled fish was spiced perfectly, with a rich, garlicky, spicy broth that was packed with flavor. The portion was generous, but they only provide one small bowl of rice—I think two would be more fitting given the size of the dish.
The soup dumplings were especially good—super flavorful and satisfying. They also had chili oil, black vinegar, and soy sauce ready on the table. It can get a bit busy during lunch hours, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

The wait was only 25 minutes on a Friday night. If you’re looking for ambiance this isn’t it. It is truly mom and pop vibes- you’re only there for the food. We were most impressed by the twice cooked pork belly. Soup dumplings were perfect. House fried rice was good but only had 2 shrimp. The pork buns were meh. Service was decent nothing outstanding about it but nothing that would ruin your experience. Will definitely visit again!

The Plateful Dead dinner group took on Northern China Eatery as a challenge to consume as much as possible. And let me tell you…Northern China Eatery 1 Plateful Dead 0. We got bested as we ordered as much food as we could and ate it family style around a large circular table.
We heard that they had some of the best dumplings but didn’t realize how good. The beautiful thing is you can buy them frozen to take home! The noodles were delicate and saucy, The mandarin pork belly melts in your mouth.
The service was lovely and made you feel right at home instead of a restaurant. I would recommend that you come early to get a spot. This place fills up fast and for a good reason.
