What a great find
The mussels were excellent — perfectly cooked and served in a flavorful broth that we couldn’t stop dipping bread into. The onion soup was amazing: rich, deeply savory, and topped with perfectly melted cheese. Exactly what you want from a classic French bistro.
The drinks were phenomenal, especially for brunch. Everything felt thoughtfully made and well-balanced.
Overall, the food, drinks, and ambiance all came together beautifully. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.I had such a great experience at La Petite Joie. The atmosphere is warm and inviting — cozy without feeling cramped, and perfect for either a relaxed dinner or brunch with friends.
The food was phenomenal! The onion soup was rich and perfectly balanced, with beautifully melted cheese on top. The burger was outstanding — juicy, perfectly cooked, and easily one of the best I’ve had in Brooklyn. The salad was also amazing — fresh, vibrant, and the perfect complement to the meal.
Between the quality of the food and the inviting ambiance, it’s definitely a place I’ll be returning to! Highly recommend!
Our server was the highlight of the meal—she was incredibly professional, friendly, and deeply knowledgeable about the menu. We took several of her recommendations, and she was spot on with every single one. It’s rare to find service that is both this efficient and this warm.
As for the food, every dish was a winner:
• Eggs Benedicte with Smoked Salmon: Perfectly poached and fresh.
• Merguez Sandwich: Bold, flavorful, and a great twist on brunch.
• French Toast: Decadent and the perfect way to round out the meal.
• ElderFlower 75: Light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced.
Whether you’re looking for a great atmosphere or top-tier French-inspired cuisine in Brooklyn, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back!
Service was good overall. Our main server was pleasant, but the assistant waiter really stood out. He was friendly, attentive, and consistently on top of everything throughout the meal.
The space itself is cute and cozy, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made the experience even more enjoyable. We were a group of three and shared two bottles of wine. The French Pinot Noir and the Côtes du Rhône were both very good and reasonably priced.
All in all, a very enjoyable evening and a place I would absolutely return to.
