Reviews
We walked in and we were well received. The place is full of light and with a lot of seats. It wasn’t busy and this is made the experience even more enjoyable.
Menu was easy to read and with the essential things. There was no information overload and it was easy to find what we wanted.
We got the “Meatballs” and they were very nice and came with a smooth tomato sauce. Then we got 2 pasta: “Rigatoni Vodka sauce and Stracciatella” and “Garganelli mushrooms and pesto”. They were both delicious. Pasta is also homemade and this is a plus: we love a good “al dente” pasta.
Service was great and we were attended with care and attention. Price are not low but on average with the area.
It was definitely a good find in midtown Manhattan and we will come back!
Service was a bit mediocre since our waiter only came by a few times, but the waitress who helped us was very kind and helpful. My soda was initially forgotten, but once I mentioned it, she brought it out and said it was on the house, which I appreciated.
Overall, I’d totally recommend this place. Just make sure to make a reservation! Also, it’s really convenient that you can pay from your table by scanning a QR code.
Right on broadway, on the corner, has some outdoor patio seating as well
The food was good, though not exceptional. The NY strip steak was generous in size and nicely cooked. The chicken paillard was fine but rather plain, and the branzino was delicate though it carried a slight sea-odor that sometimes comes with seafood.
The atmosphere is lively and cheerful: crowded, a little noisy, but exactly what you expect from a modern Italian trattoria.
Prices: not cheap but fair for Midtown Manhattan. Our dinner for three (with two glasses of wine, water, and espresso) came to around $195 including tax, which is in line with the location and quality.
A laid-back spot with good energy, ideal for a casual but stylish dinner out.
We’ll be back.
My most recent visit was over the holidays and the experience was somewhat subpar, though. It could’ve been because of the holidays…
• Food: The Tagliatelle with beef and pork bolognese, is my go-to, which I ordered again this time. I prefer al dente and don’t enjoy overcooked pasta, but it was a bit undercooked.
• Service: The servers also didn’t really come around, so we ended up paying using their QR code, which charges an additional fee.
