How can I give a rating when we never ate at La Padella tonight? I made a reservation on Open Table for Tuesday night, May 16. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived only to find the restaurant was pitch black and locked up tight. The hours on the door indicated that they ARE open on Tuesday. If there had been an emergency, it would’ve been nice to give us a call, send an email or to post something on the door. We would’ve understood — but none of that

Went to get take out and was very disappointed. First the website on their Google page is apparently 7 years old and does not reflect current pricing. The meal for two entrees was about $20 more than the website indicates. Second, I tried to pay for the $76 meal with a $100 bill. This CASH ONLY fine dining restaurant did not have change. They had to go down the street to break the $100 bill. When I asked to talk to the manager, the server had to call her because she was not on site. When I finally reached her by phone, she was completely ambivalent about the issues I had and offered nothing by a half hearted apology and that it was not her fault the website was 7 years old. This is easily the worst run restaurant I have ever encountered.

Called last minute and Francesca was able to seat 4 outside. The salad portions we’re huge, enough to share for 2. veal padella, rissoto, Frutti de mar, and polo parmesan were all delicious. BYOB and CASH ONLY!!!

Awful and aggravating dining experience. We had a 7:30 OUTDOOR dining reservation. The hostess told us she had no table ready and with no apology we were told to wait. After waiting 1 hour standing on the sidewalk, and still no apology, they said they could only offer us a table INDOORS. It was loud & chaotic. The food was mediocre, the service was frustrating and the bathroom door lock was broken so my friend had to stand outside the door to make sure no one came in. And to top it off the prices were very expensive. If there was a 0 star option I would have chosen it. I will never return.

I left dinner last night so disappointed. We had a 7:30 outdoor reservation and no table was available until 8:30 indoors. The hostess was unconcerned that we were waiting and there was no apology that we were unable to be seated as reserved. Indoors was way too noisy and made it difficult to hear others at our table of four. The food was overpriced and not worth the wait. Our waitress, although nice, was much too overwhelmed to give us decent service. I will not be returning.

The service was fantastic! The wait staff (and owner!) checked in on our table frequently throughout the evening. The food came out quickly and they even set up an outdoor table just for us! The food was excellent. We would highly recommend the lobster ravioli. Just one note: Parking can be tough, so be prepared to walk a bit.

We came to this wonderful neighborhood restaurant to enjoy our family for a Mothers day celebration. The ambience was cozy and very family friendly. The food was sublime and Elena,our hostess,server and the owner was the epitome of excellence. Truly a great experience.
