I found that most high rated restaurants in Mauritius were often pretty average (or worse) but this place is really good and deserving of the rating. Great quality food – the portions are generous, calzone was enormous and very tasty. Great pizza base. Nice size restaurant, outdoor and indoor seating and parking right by the side. Definately worth a visit and wish we had found it sooner because we would have been repeat customers.

Finally went there after passing by for years..
Called for reservation and everything went ok, they had the table ready upon arrival.
– The staffs were friendly and welcoming, but a bit unattentive, totally understandable as it was peak hour.
– Atmosphere very cosy and chill,
– Food was awesome and very good, authentic tastes. and they use a wood oven

If you want to eat a perfect Italian Pizza the La Margherita is THE place to go. From a very warm welcome and lovely atmosphere to the perfect pizza (amazing ingredients and the dough is just perfectly made) and service – it was definitely worth it. You can easily decide if you want to sit inside or outside. At weekends it would be good to quickly call them and reserve a table. Overall: we had the best pizza since ages at the La Margherita. So all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ more than well deserved. Keep on rocking!

We WERE regulars at the restaurant and never did we feel entitled because of that, we prefer to remain anonymous because we don’t want or feel that we deserve special treatment, however, after confirming a booking telephoicaly and within no time getting the confirmation we arrived on time, but then we ordered our food and after noticing that guests who arrived after us had already eaten even before our food even arrived we decided to voice our discontent we were met with yeah whatever, don’t do there, they are all about short term gratification and not long term business, I always rated the place and even suggested to everyone I know to go there, don’t bother they are all about short term and that’s how long I expect them to last, I’ve already contacted everyone that I suggested to go there and told them to avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being disrespected and treated very very poorly, even after a phone call to try and make amends it was a so what an whatever attitude, big thumbs down

Really great pizza and a solid all-round experience. The menu has loads of options, from the usual classics to some more interesting choices. Everything we tried was tasty and clearly made with fresh ingredients, and the crust was just right.
The place has a nice, relaxed vibe – perfect for grabbing a casual bite. Staff were friendly and quick, which made things even better. If you’re into pizza, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Great wood fired pizza, pizzas had a nice crust and stone baked bottom to hold it together. I got the Pepperoni which was nice and wife got Tuna. Enjoyed both, staff were very nice and quick with ordering. Reasonable prices as well, we paid roughly 1500 MUR which is about £17 in GBP. When in Mauritius I will deffo visit again.

Service not very good though, but that’s “normal” unfortunately in Mauritius and you have to work with what you have. Can’t really blame the owner for that. Almost all restaurants are suffering from this problem.
Overall, we will definitely come back. The pizzas are worth it BIG TIME!
