First of all, shoutout to Chad, the bartender/server/absolute legend. This man didn’t just keep the drinks flowing, he practically read my mind. I’d blink, and boom: a fresh refreshment would magically appear. If there were Olympic medals for bartending, Chad would have gold, silver, and be serving drinks on the podium.
And then there’s Rocco, the owner who somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly even when he’s off the clock. I saw him introducing people with one hand and helping someone parallel park with the other. Total boss energy. The kind of guy who’d welcome you like family and make sure you had a good time.
While I didn’t get to try the taco truck in the parking lot (yet), word on the dusty dance floor is that it’s fire. As in, “regret-not-ordering-three-of-them” fire.
The line dancing instructors? Absolute rockstars. Whether you’re a seasoned boot-scooter or a confused suburban city slicker with two left feet (hi, I’m the problem it’s me), they’ll have you toe-heel-stompin’ in no time. Bonus: they’re low-key TikTok famous, and yes, their page is legit.
Out back, there’s no shortage of things to do. Yard games galore. Giant beer pong (we’re talking trash cans and volleyballs, people), cornhole, and even real volleyball if you’re feeling like a silly goose after a few drinks.
All in all, The Pipeline Underground Saloon is part honky-tonk, part backyard bash, and entirely worth your time. Go for the drinks, stay for the dancing, and thank me later when you meet Chad, Rocco, and the line dancing instructors and finally learn what to do with your hands during a line dance.
10/10! Yeehaw and cheers.
The food on the other hand was just O.K.
The Mac n’ Cheese was somewhat flavorful, but far from hot. The black tips & brisket were 80% fat. The pulled pork was good, when smothered with bbq sauce, otherwise just basic pulled pork.
My favorite place for BBQ is The Deck in Muskegon.
I go there primarily to do the line dances. On Thursdays they teach line dancing. On Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday they do line dancing most of the night. Although on Fridays and Saturdays there is a little more bumping grinding kind of music. Justin, in charge of dancing, plays a good mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced dances.
As for the drinks there are the barn bell specials that change every half hour on Friday and Saturday, from shots to mixed drinks. The bar tenders often pour the drinks fairly strong compared to other bars. So on work nights I generally stick to 2 drinks.
As for food, I admit I don’t go there very often(usually I go for dancing and drinks), I have never been disappointed. I love the Mac and cheese with brisket.
I freaking love this place and I’m there 1-2 times a week.
