Food was good. Quick and easy. The tomato basil soup was actually very good. I will grab a bite here again when I am in this terminal.

Service was fine. If you want a croissant or pastry for breakfast, okay. Otherwise walk on by. I had the American breakfast. Scrambled eggs were not fresh cooked, they were reheated in microwave leaving rubbery, crumbles. Ham is super salty, and the sliced tomatoes were flavorless. I know this is airport food, but you could do better at McDonald’s. Also very run down looking.

Had a Caesar Salad and quiche while in-between flights. We opened the salad and discovered that the lettuce was all brown-tinged. This was all pre-made by the way. Did not have time to go back to the counter as it was now much busier and we had a connecting flight. I messaged La Madeleine on the customer service portal. Very diplomatic mind you. No response. A week later, messaged again and no response. I wrote a letter to the corporate headquarters and received a call from a very apologetic gentleman who asked for my email address. Two weeks later I got another call asking if I had received anything. No I said and again, an apology and assurance was given. Two weeks later and I received nothing. I subsequently wrote another letter and two weeks later I still have heard nothing. I really don’t mind the seven or eight dollars, but I don’t like having my time wasted. A complete lack of customer care. Never setting foot in La Madeleine again after this.

Passing by the Dallas Airport with a 2hr layover. I stopped by LA Madeline for the Croque Monsieur & tomatoe soup. As per cashier they had no tomatoe soup available at the moment, I don’t see how if there were jars displayed practically everywhere and that’s on of their main soups they advertise. Anyways I settled for an onion soup which was good (not a big fan of onion soups). The service was swift. Establishment was packed at the time I arrived. (10am).

Upscale restaurant at the airport. I just had appetizers, including fried alligator, mozzarella balls and shrimp cocktail. Great atmosphere, friendly service. Nice place to kill time waiting for flights.

Fast to take order, of course prices high. It is an airport. But the music knocked it down a star. Too French and too loud. Seemed to be enough room for the breakfast rush. We both ordered the omelettes. And of course they mixed up the eggs and egg white orders but they still looked good.

Decided to stop here for a bite during a longer layover. I went with the Quiche Florentine, which is made with eggs, spinach, and Swiss cheese. This was a good quiche, and for $7.50, it is airport food that is relatively good and well priced. Not five stars because I’ve had better quiche. Wouldn’t hesitate coming back here again if I was in this airport again and was hungry. Give it a try, you’ll like it.

Visiting the airport location is not quite the same as going to a regular La Madeleine – less choices, more expensive, but the tomato soup is just the same and just as delicious. So are the croissants.
