We had tacos, cheese enchiladas, and ground beef enchiladas all with red sauce. It was good, the sauce was hot and everything was fresh. Atmosphere was quite and the waitress was attentive. Prices were great for a big family for sure.

The burgers, tamales, and menudo are my favorite here. As far as Mexican food goes here in Ruidoso, this is probably my favorite restaurant. It doesn’t have much of an atmosphere, and the service is slow, but the food is pretty good. Their gorditas, tacos, and enchiladas are also ok. Sadly they stopped selling the family to go pack of barbacoa, it was delicious, we used to order it quite frequently.

My fiance wanted to find authentic Mexican food. I sadly suggested this place as it was close to where we were staying…I ordered huevos rancheros (my favorite meal) and I did not look anything on the plate. My hash browns were overcooked, and the green and red Chile sauces had a sour taste to it. The staff was nice though

Service started out good, food came out fast, i then realized there were live ants crawling in my taco.. discretely told our waitress instead of announcing it for everyone to hear. She never came to the table again and acted like we were in the wrong. We had to go up to the counter for refills, boxes, and the check ($53) full price… 🙁

We were starving and we wandered onto this little gem. The wait staff was so very friendly. Three of us ate the breakfast. I had the omelet. It was good. My son had the breakfast burrito and really liked it. My youngest had the kids pancake. They made them into Mickey for him. He loved the special touch. My husband had the hamburger. He said it was ok. We all ate for around $40. This is a good place to stop.

I am not a big fan of Mexican/New Mexican cuisine but I will say that I enjoyed my meal at the retro-decor Hacienda. The very generous beef fajita was excellent with sizzling sauteed onions and peppers and sides of refried beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream and tortilla. The fried ice cream was OK…didn’t care for the crust which I think was rice krispies. The server was excellent, friendly and accommodating. A pleasant meal altogether. You won’t leave hungry.
