We just received this coconut cream pie from our family that lives in emporia, Kansas. This is freaking amazing. We live in STL and I have not had this good of a cake in a long time. It was so delicious. I can’t even imagine not having this again at some point.

Went for a quick brunch, and got the broccoli quiche and a slice of carrot cake. My boyfriend got a quiche as well and a cannoli. Everything was very tasty, and the service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back!

I went to try a pastry and decided on a cherry turnover. Prices of pastries aren’t visible anywhere, so I ended up paying $4.70 but for a quality pastry it could be fine. They give it to me cold. I take a bite out of the corner and it tastes ok but not spectacular. Then I look to find a spot of fuzzy green mold growing on the filling. I spit out the second bite and go back to ask to exchange for something else. The worker takes it, shows coworkers, and proceeds to LIE TO ME that a piece of trash fell on it in the storage fridge. It was clearly mold and clearly growing on the product. I understand she probably wanted to avoid upsetting the other customers by admitting the product was molding. They let me exchange for a slice of cheesecake which was not molding… I should have taken a picture but was too shocked and focused on exchanging for something edible. The turnovers at Casey’s gas station are cheaper, tastier, and never moldy.

One of my al time favorites! Great soup, salads, sandwiches, and the best sweets. I’ve had them cater a long while ago, not overpriced like others, they even make cakes for any reason you want. Favorite CREAM of tomato soup!!

I used to walk here as a child to buy rolls. Many years later, but still long ago, my wife and I would get lunch here. This restaurant has changed the way I think about food many times. Everything is delicious, but RUN – don’t walk – to try the tomato soup. I’m convinced it’s better than any soup you’ll find not just in Wichita, or Kansas, but far beyond as well. Chef recommended.

I hate to do it, but I was that customer that cane in 30 minutes before they closed. I didn’t realize La Galette was only open until 3pm, but that’s well past lunch time, so I’m please I was able to stop on at all, CO sodering my super late lunch. The staff was very kind and didn’t seem put out at all that I arrived so late in their day. I was SHOCKED at how beautifully full the case was with the most delicious looking treats! I apologize for not snapping a picture! For the end of the day, they still had EVERYTHING available, and it all looked mouth-watering! I settled on the Garlic Chicken Sandwich on Croissant, while the hubby went with the Turkey on Croissant. We both loved our food and enjoyed a Canolli as well. A great hole-in-the-wall, local find! I can’t wait to go back and take my kiddos! The garlic salad looked temping and the various quiche choices were amazing as well! We’ll be back! Multiple times! Can’t rave enough about this local gem!
