Great Nicaraguan food in East Bay. Many traditional favorites are available including Nacatamales and of course Fritanga translates into mix of friend food including plantains, pork , cheese and grilled steak and chicken. They also have a variety of traditional fresh juices and cacao which is a chocolate milk drink. We opted for Nicaraguan beer Toña which is a crisp and light pilsner style. Place has both indoor and outdoor seating and there is plenty of free outdoor parking. It is a modest place but service is friendly and attentive. Good latin American spot to try. Look forward to trying their other dishes on my next visit.

Everything about this place is phenomenal! The customer service, the authentic food, location, live music on occasions, outdoor seating and did I mention how good the food is?! I would eat here every day if I could! If you have never tried Niguragua food this is a great start. The queso Frito (fried cheese) is my must try recommendation! And don’t forget the plantains

I already came here a couple of time, this is a very lovely place, and I love the vibe of it. The hostess are always really nice ladies. The food is delicious, it was my first time trying Nicaraguan food and I love it. I’ll definitely come back here again.

Small nica restaurant. By far the best one I have been to. My wife is from Nicaragua and she says the food tastes exactly like home. The main gal that works there is from Granada so she knows what she doing!!! Super friendly too

Was really good & tasty! I miss my abuela’s cooking but she’s back in Nicaragua, so it was really nice to enjoy some traditional Nicaraguan food. Steak was marinated well. Will be returning 🙂

We were walking by and saw the sign and decided to come in for an appetizer. We got the flautas and tamal de puerco to eat and a mango-lime drink. I’ve never had Nicaraguan food before so I have nothing to compare it to in terms of it being authentic BUT it was delicious! We will definitely be back again. Food came pretty fast and prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back to try more food. The tamal was huge so that was nice had left overs for sure. Also the waitress mentioned they sell beer from local breweries that are owned by Latinx people so that was a nice touch, the selection was small but definitely curated because it all sounded yummy!

This restaurant is small but cute. Not a lot of room inside but It looks like they took a little bit of their private parking lot to make it into an outside dining. What a brilliant idea. More seating means more people can be accommodated! I really love the outside dining it’s cool, comfy and feel the fresh air.

If you aren’t aware of Nicaraguan food then this a good place to start. It’s got delicious traditional plates that are well priced. We happen to show up at an event where they had a DJ and it reminded me of parties my family used to have where that was dancing, good food, good drinks, and good vibes. Being Nicoya myself it makes me feel a little more at home. Even with the social distancing it was nice to be out and enjoying the good vibes.
