This is such a fun place! I went with my friends to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday. There was good music, festive decor, and energetic staff. Service was quick and our server was very nice. The food however, was mid and disappointing. Regardless, this place is great if you want to celebrate something and have a good time. When they brought out my birthday dessert, they sang, played tambourines, and gave me a massive sombrero so we could take pictures. Overall, I would skip the food but drinks were good and the ambiance is really fun. Also there is festive decor for photo-ops.

The food here was delicious! Very good sized plates so it gets you super full! There are so many places to take such cute photos. There’s also a woman who takes professional photos of your family which is so cute! The waiters are so friendly. When we went there was a live singer which was cool! I will definitely be coming again!

Overall not impressed. Forced valet service when there were plenty of open spaces. The vibe of the restaurant is authentic to what I remember traveling to Mexico. The food though was just meh. My faucets steak was cooked so long it was a tough as leather. The rice had no real flavor to it. My wife’s birria was good but again lacked real flavor. I got the pineapple salmon and it was served in a moldy pineapple, which they fixed and offered something else. The restaurant was packed and the server did her best. It’s an experience worth going to, but our expectations were definitely not met, and we would not return.

This is defiantly a fun place. Lots of birthdays when I was there. All the sudden the place would fill with a loud bang of drums and you knew it was a birthday. It is a very festive place to have your birthday. The drinks are over the top. They are huge and have flare.

Visited for Cinco de Mayo, and it was crazy busy. Parking situation could have been handled better. We had a reservation and were there on time but most of our party couldn’t be come in on time due to backlogged parking, and the Hostess initially refused to honor our reservation saying they don’t take reservations for Cinco de Mayo (not true) and then refused to let us get us seated since the whole party was not there. They eventually did seat us.

Came here with the girls for cinco de Mayo. The hostess at the front were extremely rude and condescending. We then was seated we sat for about 30 mins before we had to flag down a server to help us. Once we got a server she was nice and friendly. The drinks were good but the food was not the best. My dish in particular the seafood mix (seafood enomarado) think that was the list was extremely salty. The ambiance is nice and festive thought the rating is primarily for the two women that was at the hostess stand who put a damper on the entire outing

I have came to La Fortaleza since 2021 yesterday, I was so upset about our server because the times I have gone I always had great service and to me it seems like they should offer a great service since they already add the tip to our bill automatically. We sat at 8:17 pm and the server didn’t get our drink order until 8:30pm. Then took about another 15-20 minutes for him to get our food order. Also there was a couple who was right behind us who the server gave more attention to and we both came in at the same time! I only give it 2 stars because the food was good. Another thing that literally made it even worse was when I asked the server if he can bring a birthday celebration for my brother in law. I TOLD HIM TWICE! NEVER CAME! We just asked for the bill and left then they give you the option for an extra tip I will tip extra if the service was great but not when they treat you like that. EVEN the food runner was more attentive and nice.
