My friend had the tacos and he said it was okay.
Table was warped and booth seats, dirty and in places, ripped.
Did not leave a good impression on us. We would not recommend this Mexican restaurant.
The menus were trash. Torn and worn is a was the very un becoming for such a great restaurant
My friend and I came in and sat at the bar. It was busy, but not overly busy. The bar area and booth area are completely separate, so it wasn’t like there was confusion about where we were sitting. When we sat down, we were not greeted at all even though there were multiple people working behind the bar. From my experience, when you sit at a bar, the bartender at least acknowledges you with a “Hi, I’ll be right with you.” We didn’t get that.
Someone dropped off chips and salsa, but still no greeting, no menus, nothing. We even moved seats toward the middle of the bar. An employee moved our chips and salsa to the new seats and still didn’t say a word to us. About five minutes later, someone finally acknowledged us and said they’d grab menus. After another wait, we got them. Then a different server came to take our order.
While we were waiting for our food, two new groups sat on either side of us. Both were greeted immediately. One couple was white, and another group appeared to know the staff because they were greeted very warmly. What stood out to us was that an employee from the other side of the restaurant actually walked over to the bar just to greet the white couple sitting next to us while we had been sitting there unacknowledged. They received menus immediately, unlike us.
Then came the wait for our food. It took at least an hour (possibly longer) for our meals to come out. I ordered a simple chicken and rice with cheese, and my friend ordered a shrimp rice bowl. Meanwhile, the people sitting next to us who ordered more items and more complex dishes got their food in about 30 minutes.
We had to flag someone down to ask what was going on. The response was that they were “really busy,” but the restaurant did not appear overwhelmed and that still doesn’t explain why surrounding tables received their food much faster than we did. There was no apology for the delay.
The food itself was okay, but the service was disappointing from start to finish. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I won’t be returning.
Sadly, our server was in a rush to meet our needs. I was telling him my appetizer would be nachos dip with cheese and guacamole. He left without asking my husband and my son for their order only to come back with two sets of my order.
He was too busy to listen ….
There is parking available. Price is reasonable.
