OMG!!! I just had the most delicious filet mignon! There is just something about a steak being flash seared to mid-rare at 900+- degrees in a pizza oven that is quite unlike any other experience. Absolutely fantastic! Good job guys! I’ve been here before, am driving through town to see some friends (GO HAWKS!) and have been looking forward to this meal for the whole 5 hour drive. Well worth it!

I’ve dined at countless restaurants over the years and having worked in everything from relaxed settings to fine dining. This restaurant’s cleanliness is top tier. The space is immaculately maintained, and the airy layout lets you actually breathe in what’s cooking in the kitchen, which adds to the experience.
We were fortunate to be seated as walk-ins without a reservation.we were quite nervous walking in considering it is highly recommended to have a reservation.
One detail I appreciated: they offer both a lighter, looser tomato sauce and a richer bolognese. If you’re dining with someone who prefers a delicate, Southern-style Italian sauce while you enjoy something with more structure and depth, this is the place that satisfies both. Italy isn’t one singular cuisine, it’s a collection of regional traditions, and their menu embraces this.
The dessert, we brought home, as we were over filled and couldn’t not muster another bite.
The chef is serious about his craft and takes great pride in every plate. Being able to watch him prepare the food added an immersive touch : it made the meal feel more intentional, more personal, and honestly, more memorable. He runs a tight ship- and that’s respected considering most restaurants do not properly train their servers, leading to well crafted food with an “ehhh” experience. The most successful restaurants I’ve worked in, all were run similarly.
I speak more so on the operations than the food. Because you can look at other reviews that consistently remark about the flavor and quality.
Successful operations management is why so many reviewers express high regard for the food quality; why the service stays on par and the reason this restaurant has positive word of mouth.

How can you find a place this far from a big city with a great menu? Hard to get in? Yes… but, that only made me want it more. Pizza? Better than anything you can find in Seattle (and they even use Caputo Italian flour!). The pizza oven was a work of art. Nice, small, intentional menu. The pastas were fabulous. Salads, amazing. A little spendy, even for Seattle standards but it’s worth it cause they are doing so many things well. Definitely going back when in the area again and will be sharing our experience with others!

Amazing so delicious . Must have reservation if you want to eat here. Seating is limited. So worth it. Sangria is out of this world. Had the mushroom ravioli!!!! Omg! Pepperoni and onions appetizers! Can’t get enough. Every food item is wonderfully prepared from scratch. Olive oil for dipping is out of this world . Get ready to spend some $$$$$! But well worth it get steak prices before ordering . The waiter is pretty good about letting you know the price. Also the tip is included in your bill. I like this. enjoy your day

When you think Soap Lake, “fine dining” isn’t the first thing that springs to mind. But this place is incredible. A real gem. It’s our birthday/special occasion place. Everything is prepared fresh there. There is nothing we’ve ever tried that has been even close to mediocre. The spice infused dipping oil? Yes please! I read another review that remarked on the prices. I won’t disagree. But that same review said it’s worth it and I won’t disagree with that either. Sure, get the steak price before you order. And then order it anyway! It’s worth it. I heard a rumor they were trying to sell the place. I sure hope not. The people that run it now have a finely tuned restaurant that produces excellent food. Where will I take the wife for her birthday then?! I also noted in another review that gratuity was added. (which is nice and saves me the math) We had a party of five and the 18% gratuity was added to the bill. For what it’s worth. Two thumbs up. Totally recommend.

Really fancy small resturant, reservation only.
I Wanted a chicken Alfredo but they were out, so it was substituted woth sausage, still delicious. The food came with small side salads and we also ordered a pesto cheese ball it was unique and also delicious.
However even with a reservation from the moment we sat and ordered food we had a whole hour wait before we received our meal. Unless it’s a special occasion I’d prefer takeout in the future.
Despite not having chicken and the hour wait I’d say the flavor of everything just makes up for it. I’ve also heard most ingredients are imported from Europe.
They also have pizzas which I look forward to trying sometime.
I’d say 4.5/5 Overall

Spread the word: La Cucina di Sophia deserves at least two Michelin stars. Everything we had—from the Ginkgo Forest Malbec to the Caesar salad, pizza, ribeye steak, Alfredo sauce pasta, to the tiramisu dessert—was an absolute delight.
This place is the *real deal* when it comes to Italian food. Legit the best pizza and pasta I’ve ever had in Washington. The ribeye was cooked to medium-rare perfection with the most extraordinary crisp on the outside, and the chimichurri sauce really blew the whole experience out of the water.
I didn’t realize how much I needed Italian-Brazilian fusion in my life until we walked through La Cucina’s doors last night. This is our first time in Soap Lake, and I’m so grateful we discovered this gem of a place. Grazie, La Cucina di Soohia.
11/10 would absolutely come back (like, tonight and at least once a year moving forward).

This place was incredibly impressive! Particularly considering its small and remote location in Soap Lake. The ambiance, customer service, and the outstanding quality of freshly made food were truly remarkable. The prime steak I ordered, cooked in an iron skillet in the fire oven, provided a unique experience. The next day, I enjoyed a pasta dish with mushrooms and Italian sausage that transported me back to Italy. To cap off my delightful experience, their dessert – a truffle with gelato inside – was absolutely delicious! Truly a hidden gem!

Wanted to take our brother and sister -in Law out for their 27th anniversary and try to make it special. Had 2 trusted co-workers who highly praised Sophia’s, so we made reservations in advance and made sure we arrived early. No problem, they got us seated right away and the place was already packed at 5 pm on a Saturday. The decor is authentic, and had the feel of real, family run business not a national chain. The star of the show is the ornate, tiled brick oven that is well done to isolate its immense heat from overwhelming the dining area, all of which is very tightly packed. The open view cooking area seems immaculate, and the staff has obviously gotten their choreography down. We ordered wine and an appetizer that arrived in quick order, giving us an opportunity to scour the menu and make decisions. The excellent Crostini Rosso with spicy infused oil was so good, a creamy cheesy blob infused with pesto in the center hit the spot. We had a classic Magherita Pizza, Fettucine Alfredo, Ribeye Steak, and the pasta special Cheese Tortellini in Pomodoro Sauce. Everybody sampled each other’s fare, and it was all very, very good. My brother-in-law lived in Italy during his service in the Vietnam era and raved about how good this was. We had a couple of budget bottles of Malbec and could have licked the plates clean but had to save room for a little Gelato and Tiramisu with an Espresso. Our waitress was very busy, yet efficient and very pleasant, taking time to answer any questions and offer information. As for the cost, well nothing is cheap anymore it seems, but for the quality of the food and the quaint, authentic experience, we were not put off and will be back again.

My fiance and I decided to try this place out for date night. Absolutely amazing food! we got the rustic chicken and a calzone to split. Best calzone I have ever had. The cheese was melted perfectly and it wasn’t too much dough. It was cooked evenly and perfect from the wood fire stove. The flavors just delightful. The rustic chicken came out sizzling and my mouth instantly watered. The only thing I would say to improve the dish would be if the potatoes were seasoned more. Otherwise it was so delicious. Defintely will return to try the other food options offered. Overall amazing experience
