My wife found this place to celebrate my birthday here and it was super special. The ambiance is great. The service very attentive. The food is very special, a combination of tapas, charcuterie, and other Spanish specialties. They also brought a sorbet for my birthday. The duck, croquetas, empanadas, and the crudo were the highlights of the night. The churros could’ve been better.

We scored on a Sunday evening after the Steelers beat the Ravens. Truly a destination meal as you drove through a myriad of bridges, train tracks and warehouses. The Basque flavors were popping on all our tapas especially the Pan Con Tomate, Spinach / Gruyere croquettes, shrimp and oysters. The potatoes were phenominal and the bread is baked in house and take a loaf home!

Don’t seem to recall how this made it to my hit list. I’m glad it was. Since we were not as hungry, we ordered small plates like croquetas, small empanadas, candy bar dessert, and fried oysters to share. The only disappointment was not having jamon iberico on the menu. Will certainly go again to try the wines and anything grilled. They have the grill I’ve seen in Spain. Service was attentive.

Great servers polite, knowledgeable, and very nice. Kudos to them. The craziness for the evening – you have a set menu and first they run out of the main entree then they substitute it for another type of fish and right when all the entrees were due to come, they tell us they ran out of the substitute! Wow!
Don’t recommend to come here for special events. Otherwise, this is a good restaurant.

La Cuchara is definitely worth a visit. Parking is directly out font and there were plenty of spaces on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation in advance, but they also gave a large bar area.

The menu includes small bites, tapas, entrees, and tinned seafood options. Once seated, they give you a few slices of their fresh baked bread, and you can order a loaf to take home! We loved the onion and garlic bread.

There is quite a lot to choose from on the main menu and they have a large wine list. We ordered the 12-month aged Jamon (to die for), the shrimp, oyster fritters, and lobster broth mushrooms.

Our service was great- thanks to Amanda for some bread to take home after they ran out of the onion/garlic bread. Attentive service and friendly staff.

Difficult to find, but worth the effort. Great food – we had the Hamachi Crudo Tapas (forefront) and the grilled swordfish both excellent. Service was very good. The only negative on the whole night was the host seemed combative towards us when he couldn’t find our reservation – “you have the wrong night”, “perhaps you made it for our other location”, “we don’t use that app!!!” – only to find the name was not fully spelled out!!! Small nit though. Very nice place.

A feast was had at La Cuchara in Baltimore! This Spanish tapas restaurant has an incredible wine selection and a 20 oz Ribeye that was sensational!

Even though the restaurant leans toward the fine dining/luxury side in pricing, the experience felt more like fast food. The waiters rush you to eat and leave, which completely takes away from any chance to enjoy the meal. It’s also too noisy to have a comfortable dinner. On top of that, a 22% tip was automatically added—not required, but definitely made to feel obligatory.

Outstanding Meal! La Cuchara delivers top-notch Basque flavors. The mussels was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was absolutely fantastic — rich, flavorful, and balanced. Duck Magret was tender and juicy, with sides that elevated the whole dish. The lamb shoulder was smoky, juicy, and paired beautifully with the accompanying vegetables. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the wine list was well-curated.

We hosted our son’s rehearsal dinner at La Cuchara Restaurant in December, and it was absolutely perfect. We had a group of 60 people, and from our first planning meeting through to the end of the dinner, we could not have been taken care of any better.
The communication leading up to the event was excellent, which immediately put us at ease. The owner, manager, and the entire staff were fantastic – professional, welcoming and genuinely attentive. La Cuchara is such a beautiful space that we only added a few flowers to give it a wedding feel.
Despite the size of our group, beverages were always filled, and service never missed a beat. Each course was delivered with impressive efficiency, and the staff transitioned seamlessly from one course to the next. The food was delicious, served hot, and beautifuly presented – our guests are still talking about it.
La Cuchara exceeded our expectations in every way. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special event, celebration or even a romantic evening out.
