At our Smyrna, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Food taste like there is 0 seasoning on it. Ask the guy for butter and sour cream for my potatoe. He said “ I got you” survey says that was a lie. Just a plain ahh potatoe smh with seasonless food. Then charges me $24 for this and a watered down drink. Yea ….never again!!!!

Unfortunately, this was a really unpleasant experience. The restaurant was dirty and had a strong smell of skunky weed mixed with sweat, which made it hard to even sit inside comfortably. The food was disappointing and didn’t taste fresh. On top of that, they forgot our gumbo entirely. Definitely would not return.

The male Manager needs to be fired and the rest of the staff I met tonight. I asked for a manager and a female got on the phone. She told me to come up there because my food was not cooked correctly.They are not seasoning the food and giving out burnt dry food. No excuse when people are paying their money. My bread, fish ,crabs was tasteless n or burnt/ old. The other day they gave me any sides they felt like. And they still was nasty. I will definitely be following up because that location needs new management and staff that does not wear bonnets and head scarfs! We have to boycott this place so that we can get new management. Do not use this location or you will be sorry, and your food too

I have been amazed at the quality of the experience and the food the last several times I’ve gone to this restaurant. The food was perfectly prepared and expected proportions along with friendly staff with quick service. Store was clean and freshly refinished. I love seafood for a change from the burger-thing every once in a while. These folks are on top of it!!

Food was greasy. Green beans were OMG salty. Like I need a bucket of water after eating them. They forgot my gumbo. Lady at the counter did not seem to know what a coupon was. Almost forgot, placed smelled like skunk weed and rancid sweat.

I was so pleased with my lunch stop today! I love seafood, however captain d’s is a little pricey for lunch for me sometimes, also the workers at the one by my house are rude and slow and just awful really. But today I went here on my lunch break, it was reasonably quick, very hot and very fresh food, and they had a $5.99 shrimp fish and fries deal which was a very good value for the amount of food I got! But probably the best part was the lady running the register at the front, she was so nice, very efficient, great at multitasking and just an all around “feel good” person!

Mercedes and Joy was excellent order takers. She seemed to be concerned with making customers happy. The food was hot and fresh. Great customer service. The inside of the store was clean also!!! Keep it up Team!!!
