This is such an adorable place for a unique dinner! I have never had asian italian fusion, and this was quite to spot to try it.

I made a reservation for a Tuesday night, but the venue was not super busy. The first thing I noticed when i entered was that the place is super cute – it’s like a picnic come to life! The cutlery is coquette and the decor is so aesthetically pleasing. And they play great kpop in the background.

Another thing to note is that on weekday lunch and dinners, there is free soup and salad. It came out in this tea cup set – the soup was a delicious miso and the salad was like a spring mix.

We got takoyaki (not the best I have had here but still good and hot) as an appetizer to split – it comes with 5 balls. I was basic and got the mentaiko cream pasta with udon noodles. The noodles were well cooked and there was a lot of roe, but the actual cream was super thick. I liked it but it was a little too creamy and filling to eat the whole plate so I took some home! My friend got the katsu pasta and ate it all, he liked it.

I want to highlight the waitress – she was incredibly kind and sweet. Super attentive, and very nice, she brought out the free soup and salad without needing to be asked. Service was so speedy, our food came out so fast. Probably one of the best waitress experiences I have had.

I would come here again if I am ever in the mood for this type of cuisine!

I went to La Casa Mia in Milpitas last Sunday. I really wanted to like this restaurant and was looking forward to eating here because the reviews I read online were all high and positive. A ton of food bloggers and influencers gave great reviews as well. All the dishes fell short, though! The Margherita pizza was a joke. It had cheese and slices of tomatoes on it and that’s it. It didn’t taste like pizza at all, and I couldn’t believe they served a plastic cup of ranch directly on the pizza itself. I mean, who does that! Terrible!

All of the pasta dishes lacked flavor. The pork/bacon tasted old. The pork cutlet didn’t even taste like pork. It could pass for chicken or even veal. The desserts weren’t sweet and lacked flavor as well. The honey mustard chicken was average. The chicken was on the tougher side and stringy. The truffle fries were good, which is a bad sign, in my opinion, because they were an appetizer and an appetizer shouldn’t taste better than the main entrees. The honey mustard chicken actually came out last which was shocking to me because we ordered it as an appetizer. What is the point of ordering an appetizer if it comes out last? That makes no sense at all.

The service wasn’t great either. The guy (Midori) taking our order didn’t even know what cross-contamination was. I told him I was allergic to shellfish and can he please tell the kitchen staff to make sure not to cross-contaminate shellfish with my dishes I ordered and to not cook shellfish in the same pan. He didn’t understand what that meant. There was no language barrier either, so I’m not sure why he didn’t understand what cross-contamination meant. Our reservation was at 1 pm and at 135 pm our waiter Midori told us the kitchen was closed and dropped off the bill. I told him we wanted to order some desserts, and instead of telling us what desserts were available, he pointed to the wall and said those were the desserts we had. I literally had to walk over to a wall and look at a list of available desserts. I asked our waiter Midori about a specific dessert, and he didn’t know what kind of dessert it was, nor could he give me an explanation of it. I felt like we were being rushed since the kitchen had closed and almost forced to wrap/finish things up which is not a pleasant feeling or experience. The total cost was close to $160 without tip. I still left a good tip even though the food was poor and not worth the amount above.

Overall, all of the dishes at La Casa Mia in Mipitas were underwhelming, lacked flavor, tasted old as if low quality ingredients were used, and the service was terrible and unprofessional. I honestly don’t see how a restaurant like this can stay open for business and get high-positive reviews. I’m almost positive, the food bloggers and food influencers who dined at La Casa Mia Milpitas in the past, gave really good reviews because most likely their food was comped. Anyone who thinks the food at La Casa Mia in Milpitas is good has a terrible pallette and doesn’t know what good food actually tastes like. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Only one server, she’s lovely and super nice but when it gets busy as you can imagine it’s slow and people wait a long time.

Food: pizza 10/10 pasta 5/10 drinks okay
Service: 10/10 she was perfect !
Price: $200 for 3 adults 2 kids 1 toddler
Wait: No wait but for getting the food a bit

Decor: change the drink menu designs it’ll make the customers feel better / the end of the restaurant needs more lighting / love the chairs/plates/plates/mugs/water & salad service

Cute place, def more like a casual cafe style pasta place nothing fancy like traditional restaurants.

Great flavor let’s start there. Yes the food was really good. The shrimp pasta had bright flavor and everything was fresh. The pizza was very good and cheesy, the crust was a little too soft for my liking but the flavor was on point. The strawberry drink was yummy however my least favorite was the apple drink it was kind of bland.
Yes I would return this place is a little gem with great friendly service and the waitress was very kind.

This small and so call fusion between Japanese and Italian restaurants is not too bad.

The thing that gets me the most is they will change 20% gratuity automatically for the party of six people or more, even they do have a sign at the door, which is what we have for dinner tonight!

Did they provided better service to earn the extra tips! Not really. But both waiters do have some smiles on their faces when they serve!

The portion of the food is bit on the small side but well cooked spaghetti and flavorful sauce do make a good meal.

Very good restaurant for Japanese-Italian cuisine. We usually go to the Santa Clara location, and this place is on par with that location in terms of quality and service.

The Mentaiko Cream pasta is my go-to order. As a mentaiko lover, it hits all the right spots. The spaghetti is cooked nicely, the cream is sweet and savory, and the mentaiko adds a smoky-fishy flavor to the dish. Overall a perfect dish to me.

Another go-to dish is the Uni Pasta. This is a hit-or-miss dish depending on the Uni. Sometimes the uni is fresh and really sweet, sometimes it’s bitter and leaves a strong after taste.

The Mentaiko Cheese pizza is also amazing. The pizza has a good balance of flavor; the amount of cheese is just right, the mochi adds a unique texture, and the mentaiko adds saltiness and enhances the overall flavor profile. It’s a good addition to any of the pastas that they have on the menu.

Overall a very good restaurant to try and come back to. The service is excellent, although can be slow at times due to how busy they are. Highly recommend this place.

Have been here several times with family and friends. Good is a unique combination of Japanese and Italian cuisine merged into one dish. Two examples are their spaghetti and tonkatsu with meat sauce or their mushrooms and mochi pizza. Both are very unique but tasty. The Japanese woman who is their main server is very polite and caring. One thing that sells out are all their desserts. I haven’t been able to try them as of yet. Plenty of parking. Definitely a unique place you need to try.

La Casa Mia is my go-to spot for Japanese and Italian fusion. I came here for lunch with a group of three.

Food: My new favorite order is the Carbonara with a Pork Fried Cutlet. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a spicy, cheesy pasta with a hearty protein. It’s a great alternative to the “Meat Sauce Pasta with Pork Cutlet” if you want to avoid tomato-based dishes.

Service: The waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and patient. They seated us quickly and checked in regularly. No complaints about the service!

Atmosphere: The decor has a charming, fairy-tale feel. It was fairly busy for a weekend lunch, but there were still a couple of tables open for walk-ins. They offer online reservations, so I’d suggest booking ahead if you’re planning to visit.

Overall, I’d definitely come back for group dine-ins. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made for a pleasant experience.

La Casa Mia truly exceeded my expectations! I had the uni pasta, and it was absolutely divine–rich, creamy, and bursting with fresh ocean flavor. The balance of ingredients was perfect, making every bite indulgent yet delicate. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch–attentive but never intrusive. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommended!
