I am at a total loss. I try to sift through the reviews of local area restaurants to see if I can find someone who has taste buds similar to mine and in hopes of trying something new, I gave La Casa a try…again.
This, again, is some of the most flavorless food I think I’ve ever had to be Mexican. Beautiful to look at, but little to no aroma and little to no flavor. Plus this is the first time I have ever had an enchilada with barbecue pork. It was kind of disgusting since it threw all the other flavors off. I’m not exaggerating when I say I could not truly tell the difference between the beef and the pork, at least not flavor wise. Yech.
I do not have a complaint about the portions.
In my opinion, we have one good Mexican American place, Senior Jalapeno in Struthers. That’s the only establishment within the Youngstown area that has given me as close to authentic Mexican that I’ve ever had in the United States. It’s no cigar, but it’s far better than any other Mexican restaurant in the Youngstown area.

I am from Arizona. I haven’t had good, authentic mexican food since I moved here. The birria tacos are amazing! The street tacos were delicious. It reminded me of my dad’s cooking back home Will definitely come again! The server was so polite and everything came out in a timely manner considering they were somewhat busy.

Fantastic contemporary Authentic Mexican restaurant. The salsa and chips were amazing. Excellent Guacamole .
Burrito was outstanding prob the best I’ve had in quite sometime. Chicken Tortilla soup was very fresh and flavorful . Service was great and was very clean .

We are from California and lived in San Diego for quite some time and have had our fair share of Mexican food. This place is some of the best we’ve ever had! All the meats have so much flavor and the portions are great. The wait staff is also always friendly. We thought we had no hope finding good Mexican in town but we were so pleased to find this place!

Wow, finally a quality Mexican restaurant! We’ve been here twice now, and have tried another of food Ala cart to see what we like best, and it’s ALL DELICIOUS! Not only are the chips and salsa top notch, but the price is astoundingly affordable. The service is absolutely top notch. We have lived in the area for over 20 years, and this is the best we have had!

My mom and I went there today for lunch since we’ve been dying to eat this ever since it first opened. Our first impression was wow, I was honestly so stunned by the decor and the atmosphere of the space. It felt so clean, neat, and organized. The restroom was also very nicely decorated and I just overall enjoyed the entire space. The service was great! They did not waste any time to serve us or others, they were moving fast and that’s great. The food was alright, I come from a mexican household, and I can say that it is definitely not spicy to my liking. I understand that not everybody likes hot/spicy food, but when you come into a mexican restaurant that’s what you’re expecting. Besides the lack of spice, it was good. I’ll have to beg my mom to come again to give a food a second try and I hope the next time I come back the food is more spicy!
