The food here was delicious. We had ordered the grilled octopus, fettuccini with prawns, and sashimi. It was ALL very good. I am a big fan of the sashimi while my 2 year old toddler ate the whole grilled octopus portion in which I ordered another portion to go.

Disappointed.
My husband, toddler and I arrived for an early dinner and got seated. Our toddler was a little fussy but we had stuff to quickly calm her. The server seemed to be immediately annoyed by our presence. He was short and seemed impatient.
My husband selected a drink from their list on the menu and the response was quickly “we don’t have that” – it was a piña colada. My husband selected a new drink – Mojito and the response was “we can’t make that.” Very off putting.
We wanted a nice dinner out as a family on vacation but quickly we wished we would have selected somewhere else. We held our toddler the entire time because we were never brought a high chair despite them having multiple. The vibe is very much that we were not welcome there as a family.
The food was very good as was my drink but the service was not. And maybe it was just this guy but who knows!

Delicious Italian food. We got lucky and found La Casa Madre tonight. The salads- casa madre and burrata were amazing! The Ana pasta was hands down the best seafood pasta I’ve had in years. Husband got the Diablo pizza and it was amazing as well. Friendly staff and cute atmosphere. 100% recommend.

Wonderful experience at La Casa Madre with authentic Italian food. I ordered the margherita pizza, spritz, and affogato — all were delicious. The pizza was perfectly made. Having lived in Napoli, I’m really picky about pizza, and they know how to make it just right. The owner is from Ischia, and all the staff take great pride in both the food and interacting with every customer, treating you like family.
It was a perfect way to satisfy my craving for real Italian food. The restaurant is also beautiful inside, creating a relaxing atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back and try other dishes. Grazie mille. Muchas gracias.

This was a pleasant surprise. We found this restaurant with a high rating on Google maps and then decided to give it a try. We booked them on OpenTable and result it to be fantastic. The environment is grade. The food was great. Seems like they work with local artist for the decor Has a rustic old European feel to the atmosphere, totally recommended if you were in town for dinner, remember to book ahead

Beautiful food! Easy location. Lovely atmosphere. I had the Ravioli with white sauce and my husband had the grilled octopus that the waiter highly recommended.
You can tell the Chef takes his food seriously and that the locals enjoy his food.

Amazing Italian restaurant to end the trip. We had red wine from Ensenada and the margarita pizza. We also shared the gnocchis, which were delicious. Definitely recommend.

Casa Madre has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants in La Paz. The food has been excellent every single time we’ve visited consistently flavorful, beautifully prepared, and honestly unmatched in the area.
The ribeye is perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, the gnocchi is rich and comforting without being heavy, and the burrata salad is truly on another level, fresh, balanced, and absolutely delicious. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor.

Absolutley thrilled we finally came here. The calamari platter was perhaps the best calamari we have EVER had and the Sea Bass special was so tender, flavorful and flaky it was a true masterpiece. The service was also outstanding and the music, ambience, etc. just perfect. Yes, be forewarned they only accept cash. Posting menus here because those are hard to find online.

Yup, you’re best to make a reservation especially on Friday or Saturday or expect a long wait like us tourists. But the wait was worth it, food was reported all awesome. Nice wine list and full bar drinks . The cost is a little pricey, but worth it. They are cash only
