Beautiful restaurant and food by local artisan. My understanding is that this is a Beard Award winning restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the location was stunning with beautiful views and ambiance. They had love music playing as well which really made it even more memorable. Highly recommended venue on the Bayside area.

Came in right when they opened with my dog and was welcomed so warmly right away. The staff was genuinely amazing super kind, attentive, and they even brought my dog water without me asking, which really meant a lot to me. They made a recommendation for the shrimp ceviche and it was spot on. It was so good I finished it before I even realized it was gone. The fries were solid, and the ropa vieja was delicious I couldn’t finish it there, took it home, reheated it later, and still crushed the rest. Honestly, the food was great, but the staff is the reason I’ll be coming back. They really took care of me and my dog, and that kind of service goes a long way. Definitely will be back.

Really enjoyed this experience. The food was great, and we had meat, fritters, and appetizers. Service was excellent, and the view from the terrace was as well. Inside was a live band, and the music was overall fantastic. Cocktails were very tasty, strong, and made with real ingredients. Out waiter Mike was very helpful and made our experience even better.

Since we were in Miami, we were craving Cuban food, and found La Cañita Bayside near Bayside Marketplace after stalking Google Review.
We ordered the pork and the fish, and my favorite was definitely the fish of the day. The coconut rice was amazing, super flavorful, rich coconut taste, with toasted shredded coconut on top. I kept wondering how they make the rice that good because I love coconut. Still thinking about it.
Balcony seating = bay views + giant cruise ships casually parked outside like it’s no big deal. Very Miami.
Is it pricey? Yes. But food was good, vibes were nice, and we left full and happy. No regrets.

Loved the overall experience here! The decor is really cool and fun. As a wedding and event DJ in Miami, I really recognize good hospitality, and the staff here was very helpful overall, but the hostess could’ve been a little more upbeat/welcoming. I was surprised by how good the chicken empanadas app was! Despite being fried, they weren’t greasy and were crisp & tasty. Between 2 of us, we ordered them 2 more times! No grease on our fingers at all! Highlight of the meal! There are great happy hour specials including the empanadas and mojitos. We ordered a grilled chicken breast which is not on the menu, (but maybe should be as part of a healthier options section) and it was served a little cold and a small portion for the money. The black beans, often a staple of Cuban cuisine, and a barometer of the food quality were VERY tasty! Kudos! There’s also live music 7 days a week by a talented Cuban duo from I believe noon-8 PM. It’s located smack dab in the middle of all the fun, touristy stuff at Bayside Marketplace. Overall, I recommend you check it out!

I had the ceviche, passion fruit juice, and flan, and everything was delicious! The music was nice and not too loud. I sat outside, and it was perfect. Kendall was an excellent server – very friendly and got my special requests right.

I had such an amazing time at La Cañita Bayside that I just have to share it. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming, and full of that Miami energy—great music, beautiful waterfront views, and a lively vibe that instantly puts you in a good mood.
But what truly made the experience outstanding was our server, Ancer. He was absolutely phenomenal. Not only was he incredibly friendly and professional, but he also had this warm, upbeat personality that made us feel like we were his top priority. He checked in at all the right moments, made thoughtful recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving guests a great experience.
The food was beyond delicious—every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can taste the quality in every bite. And the drinks? Amazing. Refreshing, perfectly mixed, and exactly what you want while enjoying the Bayside views. Everything came out quickly and at the right temperature, which shows the kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine.
Overall, La Cañita Bayside is the perfect place to relax, enjoy great food, and take in the scenery. I would absolutely come back again and again. And if you go, definitely ask for Ancer—he will elevate your entire experience. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend!! Firstly the staff is all so friendly! They set the tone for a beautiful dinner. We got the mushroom croquettes, the jamon y queso croquettes and the red snapper over coconut rice. The mushroom croquettes were truly the highlight. Finally a small band started playing around 7:30 and they were great! The volume was perfect. Quiet enough to talk but loud enough to vibe. Probably my favorite dining experience I’ve ever had in Miami.

We have to weigh in a little below the online ratings for La Canita Bayside. Brenda was our waitress… good job, pace was good, drinks took some time at times. We sat on the patio nice view of the harbor. Live music was Cuban classics, seemed to be on break more than actually playing! Wonder about that ….
Drinks were decent, many cocktails on the “too sweet” side… mojitos and a pirates treasure that came in a chest! LOL Ham and cheese croquettes were delicious, beef empanadas just OK. Ribeye and shredded beef Rioja were good, plantains on the side not so much. A mixed bag, decent food and drinks, good service. Good representation of Cuban cuisine.
