A really excellent meal. The food was utterly exceptional. The service was warm, friendly and welcoming. We had 2 children with us aged 6 & 9 and they offered to make them essentially whatever they wanted (chicken breast with chips in a delicious creamy sauce), although my 6yo polished off a good amount of lamb Wellington too, followed by a chocolate sauce covered waffle. Both children, who can be fussy, ate every mouthful, and they were 19euro each for 2 courses which was very good value given the quality of food.
We both had the 50 euro set menu and each course was exquisite. I had veal followed by lamb Wellington and the black forest gateaux and my other half had fish soup, scallops, and chocolate brownie with an orange curd sauce.

Our third visit to this beautiful authentic restaurant hosted by a wonderful family. Many thanks to the owner for making us feeling more than welcome. The food was amazing. Especially the tournedos was the best I have ever experienced. We will definitely come back for another anniversary. Calais is lucky to have a restaurant with top notch quality.

Caroline’s attention to detail was exceptional. She made our celebration feel truly personal and special, ensuring everything flowed perfectly and that we felt attentively cared for throughout. Her entire team reflected the same high standards — gracious, efficient, and genuinely invested in offering an outstanding experience.
The cuisine was nothing short of top class — an exquisite showcase of French gastronomy. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the menu offered enough range to satisfy every taste without compromising on quality. It’s rare to find a place where every course feels like a highlight, but La Buissonnière achieves exactly that.

This is a lovely warm and welcoming restaurant with interesting food cooked to a high standard. We found the service professional and friendly – the staff are lovely and happy to help with any questions. Really enjoyed our lunch there, highly recommend.

Wow! A very creative fixed price menu which included foie gras on macarons and snail ravioli! It was all delicious and service was excellent. Great value for the quality of the beautifully prepared dishes. Will definitely come here to eat if we are passing through Calais again. Highly recommend.

We came here this evening and it was our only evening meal out during this trip, but the best meal we have had out in a long time. Lovely presentation and flavour, and brilliant service. Unfortunately we realised too late that we had no cash to leave a tip. Would thoroughly recommend. We had the steak & blue cheese sauce and lamb wellington, both tasted amazing! The restaurant was fairly quiet but still nice.
