Food is absolutely Amazing!!! Spend one week in town for a baseball tournament and this is hands down the best place we ate. Service was great and everything from our Entree to the peach cobbler are 10/10….. definitely would recommend.

The only problem is deciding what to eat because everything is so good. We had the crab and catfish – and the ox tail and both were amazing. Don’t skip the dessert either that bread pudding is fire!

Perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal at the end of a busy week. We started with fried green tomatoes which were absolute bliss. The crab cakes were so delicious, it was almost impossible to take a bite without doing a little celebration dance. Literally the best crab cakes I’ve had… and I’ve had crab cakes in Chesapeake Bay made with fresh caught crabs straight from the water. Hubs also got a sangria and said it was amazing. Love this place!

We are from out of state visiting family and found this wonderful gem! Delicious food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere with relaxing jazz playing in the background. Love, love, love! Will come back when visiting Georgia. If you haven’t tried L. Marie’s, do yourself a favor and have a meal at a great restaurant!

We had the pleasure of dining at L. Marie’s and I must say that I was impressed! It’s a quaint little restaurant that can easily be overlooked, but a gem worth seeking out. We went with out of town guests and wanted some good southern food. We started with the fried green tomatoes (pretty much the best I’ve had in the area) and fish bites. They don’t have a full bar, but the wine and sangria were great. For mains my aunt said that the crab stuffed catfish was delicious and my wife’s grilled salmon was cooked perfectly. The fried seafood platter was also a hit with my uncle. I had the ribeye steak and it was better than I’ve had in some high end steak houses. The sides were also great and complemented the dishes well. The server was obviously learning, but she was very sweet and took care of us well. I highly recommend L. Marie’s for anyone looking for delicious southern comfort food. We like supporting local businesses and will definitely be back!!

The service and food was delicious!! We had Salmon with Sweet Potato souffle and Squash Casserole. The other orders were fried chicken cooked to perfection with Blackeyed peas, Squash casserole…and Mac & Cheese oh my goodness delicious! Lastly the homemade Strawberry Cheesecake!! The food and staff was Amazing!! We can’t wait to go back!

I had high hopes for true “southern” food but was highly disappointed. I ordered green tomatoes which came out with some type sauce and goat cheese (which would’ve been ok, if it was listed on the menu, that these things would be on top) I sent them back and asked for some at least without the goat cheese, she came back and said it was the last order and they could scrape the cheese off and re plate it, against my better judgment I was like sure that’s fine. My husband had Turkey wings with rice and black eye peas and cabbage (the rice was hard and the peas were.not seasoned) my daughter had meatloaf (which was smothered in the brown gravy) with Mac and Cheese and mixed greens, the Mac was terrible. I also ordered fried chicken with Mac and greens and the chicken although fried to perfection, lacked seasoning. I wanted to give a last ditch effort and place an order for oxtails, rice and cabbage and was yet again disappointed. Rice hard, oxtails not seasoned. So needless to say we will not return. Also, those tomatoes that were supposed to be re plated, showed up as we were finished eating and I told her I no longer wanted them. We did tip although the food just didn’t do it for us. They got a 2 star because they seem like nice people.

Some of the most authentic southen food you will ever eat here in the south!! Cooked and served fresh and hot! The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant makes for a perfect setting with friends and family. The staff and service were A+ as well. Truly a little gem here in our little town!! If you are craving true, yummy southern food L Marie’s should be your go to restaurant! We had a party of 6 and all of our food was made to order, hot, and delicious! Everyone’s dinner was seasoned to perfection! The family that owns this restaurant are super sweet and genuinely happy we were there! We will 100% be back!
