LOVE the food! We had blue fin tuna belly sushi in Tokyo and fell in love with it and has been searching for it in restaurants around us. We went in for that and totally enjoyed those along with the other sushis. Great service, wonderful food. Definitely coming back for more.

Absolutely amazing food. I haven’t had a spider roll like this since going to little Tokyo in LA. Everything was delicious, with a fine attention to detail. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the sushi. Our server was attentive, polite and gave wonderful service. Can’t wait to go back.

One of the best restaurants in town.

I have been coming here nearly 15 years and it’s definitely a favorite of mine. The dedication from the staff quality of food and atmosphere are top tier.
BUT lately they’ve been lacking in quantity and quality. This place used to be fantastic food and a good quantity for your price. Now it seems like they are cutting corners at every place. Portion size has significantly decreased becoming almost half of what it used to be. Same thing with the amount of meat you get in your dish. Even the size of their sushi rolls has shrunk.
I understand they are on tough times, but even the spicy sauce served with our Bebe and bop feels watered down compared to the vibrant flavor that we are used to.

We have been a loyal customer here for years but it’s becoming harder and harder to recommend.

First time here. And I loved everything about it. A cute serene setting with careful detail in each aspect. The wait staff was welcoming and helpful and very attentive. Food came out fast and plated expertly. Love is put into the crafting of the sushi rolls and dishes they make. You can tell they take pride in serving quality product. I enjoyed coming here for lunch, I will definitely be back to enjoy the experience and great food! Reccomend to all looking for a good sushi spot to bring friends, family, business partners, or just yourself!

I was really impressed with this restaurant in a strip mall outside Toledo. I had the black cod soup (special) some nigiri, and some genmaicha. The soup was beautifully Japanese. Clear, basic, very well-done flavors. Kyoto KA is unassuming, casual, affordable, and much better than expected.

First, we LOVE sashimi and sushi. We were the only ones there on a weekend night so we were easy to serve but no others were there and that dampened the atmosphere. We ordered a second round of sashimi and they were oddly small for the price. We won’t be going back.

Kyoto Ka on Central Avenue is hands down one of the best sushi experiences you’ll find in Toledo. What sets them apart is their use of Grade A sushi, which refers to the highest quality, freshest fish available. For those who may not be familiar, “Grade A” means the fish is handled with the utmost care from catch to plate, ensuring vibrant flavor, perfect texture, and absolute freshness. It’s the gold standard—and once you’ve had it, you’ll immediately notice the difference from what many other local spots may serve.

I started with a warm bowl of vegetable miso soup, which was comforting and perfectly balanced. Then came the highlight: the Rainbow Roll. This roll was truly a journey of flavors, beginning with the delicacy of sea bass and white tuna, gradually building in richness, and finishing with the bold, full-flavored crescendo of salmon and red tuna. Each bite was clean, fresh, and perfectly composed—exactly what you’d expect from true Grade A sushi.

On top of the incredible food, the atmosphere at Kyoto Ka is spot-on. The restaurant feels calm and welcoming, with a modern vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The acoustics are good so you don’t hear everyone’s conversations or clinking and clanking of dishes. It’s also immaculately clean—so much so that even the air feels fresh the moment you walk in. That kind of attention to detail in both the environment and the food really sets them apart.

My go-to sushi restaurant in Toledo. Simply cant go wrong with anything you order but some favorites are the fresh rolls, nigiri and sashimi and the avocado bomb, calamari & hot lover appetizers. Also cant forget, the Kyotoka Salad is a MUST every time we go. Family owned restaurant and they are so kind and service is always great! Highly recommend!
