Kuma San’s combination of tech and tradition is truly unique. The conveyor belt of sushi lets you pick what you want, and it’s all delicious. Even the robot servers add a cool touch. The chefs working behind the scenes ensure quality is top-notch. It’s a fun place with great sushi. Worth a visit!

Newly opened spot in Lincoln Park. It started late November with ordering here and there and now I am officially addicted to this place. Ordering few times per week – and it’s not an exaggerated statement, always consistent quality, never disappoints. Very fresh ingredients, generous amount of fish and very good price for what you get. This is not a typical low quality sushi spot. Low key and quiet atmosphere, perfect for a date or relaxing dinner. They are BYOB too. Beg you give them a try – you’ll be happy you did.

Loved everything about this restaurant. It was my first time having sushi but the food was great and put a smile on my face. Couldn’t recommend any higher.

Wow – this restaurant is a hidden gem. So much thought must have gone into getting the best, freshest fish with exceptional variety. I’ve eaten a lot of sushi in Chicago and this is among the best. No skimping on size either – I ordered the sushi chef’s selection and there were the most beautiful and interesting selections with generous slices. That with a $0 delivery fee if you order on their site will be dangerous as I live nearby but I’m so grateful for a hidden gem like this in the neighborhood. Thank you, Kuma San!

Ordered pick up, got a generous amount of good sushi for a good price! I got the spicy crab rolls. The person at the counter was great and friendly even in the very brief interaction, I’ll definitely come back whenever I feel like sushi!

Very pleased to discover this sushi place – super fresh food, great service and large amounts of fish for what you pay! Great menu options too, excited to try it all. Definitely you get much better value and tasty food comparing to other spots in the area – happy they opened up!

This is straight up the best sushi/Japanese restaurant in whole Chicago. The shrimp tempura just melts in your mouth. The yellowtail is no lie the freshest fish i have ever had. if you have a chance to, please I beg you come to Kuma San. I would give it more stars if I could

Yesterday myself, mom, and younger sister were excited to try this spot even as far as going through the rain to get there, when we got in we were told by the staff that we were told tables were only for two. We asked if we could put a third one so we could sit together. We even tried asking if we could sit at the bar and they said no to all these requests and left us standing for a long period of time. The staff were not accommodating and lacked any shred of decency in customer service of that of a Japanese restaurant or any restaurant. Ultimately we left and will not give business to a place that is racist and discriminates customers. Would give zero for every star.
