I visited this place and tried their masala chai with bread pakoda. Everything is made fresh, so you might need to wait 5 to 10 minutes, but trust me, it’s worth every second. If you’re around Vermont South, definitely drop in and try their freshly made masala chai and bread pakoda. Highly recommend.

Rich Mahal re-opens again. This time round, seems like the cuisine is from north India, not the previous sri langkan or south indian Malaysian menu. The menu items are quite limited. The thali’s choice is also limited (with three standard options of vegetarian, chicken and lamb) We ordered garlic naan and korma chicken. The serving size is generous and the food was well done, tasted well. Overall not bad. Hope that when the business is picking up, they have a bit more choices.

The food quality has improved with the new owners! Everything was fresh and delicious. Some changes to the flavour of the chicken curry, chicken 65 and masala dosai filling but in a good way! I hope all the long time patrons will come back and support the new owners as they’re doing a great job. Hopefully they will be able to hire a dish washer soon and will return to real plates and cutlery, and may even be able to open up the indoor dining room if enough people support them! Go and try!!

I frequent this eatery for decades as I used to work not too far off from this eatery. It was good. Thought I shall check it out as it’s under the new management.
I’m very very disappointed with this eatery. The glass panels are oily as, the prices are pretty steep for the serving I got compared to others! And they even missed giving me the papadums and so fore. I had to request for this and that. It’s overrated ..I won’t return as I got other better eateries to check out.
