The food was delicious and served with high quality ingredients. The customer service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great. I had the fried grouper Poboy sandwich, and my wife had the shrimp tacos and jam pups. Both were amazing! Highly recommend!

Found this place on the way for a weekend trip to Savannah. After driving looking a little we settled on this place from Yelp reviews. Even though landlocked, wife had better seafood than some of the places we at at in Savannah. She said the shrimp and lobster bisque ranked up there as her all time favorite. Great historic location, easily accessible to I-16. Located in a great area for food, it was a nice stop with great service (thanks Stephanie) and atmosphere. Crowd was steady so they must be consistent. If we were local this would be a regular spot for sure.

This place never disappoints! The food is delicious. We always start out with the Jezebel sausage and Rockefeller oysters as our appetizers. We tried today’s special which was the Jezebel shrimp taco. The combination of sauce, cilantro, lime, and mango was superb. I can’t wait for our next visit.

Came here for the first time this past weekend and it was pretty good. If I had to have one critique it would be to ensure all individuals within the party receive their food at the same time or roughly close to it. Some members in my group didnt received parts of their meal til near the end of our dining experience.

Some dishes were great but the jambalaya was not good at all. Our waitress was new and did a great job for this being her first week. The fried grouper was perfect so this is not a NO but we were disappointed in the jambalaya. We will come back and try again.

I recently dined at Kudzu Seafood Company in downtown Macon, and it was an absolute standout experience—authentic Gulf Coast flavors right in the heart of Georgia! From the moment I stepped in, the vibe was welcoming, with that perfect mix of casual Southern charm and lively energy, especially in the bar area.

A huge shoutout to our waitress in the bar—she was phenomenal! Attentive without being overbearing, super knowledgeable about the menu, and just had this infectious enthusiasm that made the whole meal feel like catching up with an old friend. She nailed our recommendations and kept the drinks flowing seamlessly. If you’re lucky enough to get her section, you’re in for a treat.

Now, onto the food, which lived up to the hype. We started with the gumbo, and oh man, it was delicious—rich, perfectly spiced, loaded with shrimp and andouille sausage, and not a hint of being overly salty. It transported me straight to the bayou. For the main, the jambalaya was a generous portion that was hearty, flavorful, and packed with all the right Cajun kicks. But the real MVP? The garlic toast that came with it. Buttery, garlicky perfection—crispy on the outside, soft inside, and it soaked up every last bit of that jambalaya goodness without falling apart. Seriously, I could make a meal out of just that toast.

Pricing was reasonable—great value for the quality and portions, especially in a spot this polished. And as a fun bonus, they hooked us up with a free sticker on the way out, which is now proudly on my laptop. Kudzu isn’t just a meal; it’s a vibe. Highly recommend for anyone craving legit seafood in Macon—I’ll be back soon!

One of our favorite spots for seafood!
Especially the shrimp! I ordered the Captains Lee’s Combo Platter with fried shrimp, fried oysters and grilled scallops. It was delicious!

Pleasantly surprised by Kudzu Seafood! We stopped in around 8 and grabbed seats at the bar to share one of their seafood plates. While we don’t typically go for fried food, we decided to give it a try—and it did not disappoint. The plate came loaded with catfish, grouper, shrimp, and fries—crispy, flavorful, and definitely shareable. Next time, I’m looking forward to trying their grilled options.

The vibe was quiet and family-friendly, with two distinct sides—one for seated dining and one for the bar. The décor is charming and cozy, and they even have an upstairs patio that serves a smaller menu on the weekends. A great spot to unwind and enjoy some Southern seafood comfort!

Jam Pups Chef’s, crispy, flavorful, and topped with a tasty sauce. I definitely recommend the Salmon burger, unlike any burger I have ever tried. The service was spectacular and the vibe as definitely inviting.
