Went here after feedback from 250+ in my”Let’s Eat STL”club.I pick this out of top 5.Told waiter our 1st x here.Care less attitude He was very professional as a waiter as far as personable he gets a 0.Didnt tell us what their restaurant specialties o suggest anything. So I had filet mignon med instead of the usual med/rare.Bad mistake. It was dry but edible.Wife got 1lb lobster($100) Not hot,no flavor, plain, almost rubbery. My son(who treated for my birthday)had”King”crab legs They were embarrassingly small 4 $150(what a joke)Our reserve seats were to be close2the bar, away from crowd. They sat us in 1st table going in.Not only did we have servers walking around us2serve others but we got the cold air coming through th door past the coat room.We sat for about 10 minutes w/o a “hello” “I’ll be with you”,etc.”Oscars” hollandaise sauce was”blah”,not hot or maybe lukewarm w/no flavor, crab was crab, asparagus was crisp, maybe lukewarm. My creamed spinach and twice baked potato look and tasted like it was sitting under a broiler for a while;both dry on top,&po- tato is again, plain&dry.Bill was easily over$300.A restaurant w/ these prices should NEVER have an”off night”.Many people liked &/or praised this place but I’ll never come back.My chef friend said I should’ve ordered Prime Rib.My other friend said when ever I go to a restaurant I should just order what they’re known for, meaning don’t order seafood at a steak place,or steak at a seafood place.$350 Lesson learned.Sorry, but that’s how it went.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Kreis Steakhouse! The filet mignon was cooked to perfection; tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The customer service was second to none; the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From start to finish, a truly fabulous dining experience. Highly recommend!

Tony was our server and he did an incredible job! This was my first time here and I can’t wait to go back. Tony was always checking in with us and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was phenomenal but Tony definitely made the experience amazing. We will definitely be back!

we had a wonderful post holiday meal . we were a big group and had a reservation. we were sat promptly and had a full course of soups, apps, salads, entrees and dessert. The dirty martini I had was excellent and I even received a cup of extra blue cheese olives.
the clam chowder was fantastic, some of the best I have ever had. We had shrimp cocktail, fried mushrooms, and the scallops all come out beautifully and at the same time.
our steaks and prime rib were amazing. My teens love steak and had sirloin and filet. My niece had the chicken, my parents had filet, my nephew and his wife had a lobster tail added to their steaks and my husband, my broyand myself had the Queen cut prime rib which was outstanding. so tender and juicy and flavorful.
Thank you for a fantastic meal full of shenanigans, wine and great food. Our Waiter, whom I am so sorry I am drawing a blank but, we shared that we are from NY and he is as well, he was fantastic at keeping everything moving well. The table was never crowded and the food was timed perfectly.

Tony was our server and was excellent in his presentation of the menu and specials! He had charm, wit and suggestions and made sure we had everything we needed or wanted. I ordered the lobster tail and it was sooo huge!! Tasted amazing and my boyfriend got the prime rib which was cooked to perfection. This was our early, beat the crowd Valentine’s Day dinner and the ambience was romantic. Thank you Tony for making our night special!

I attended a going away dinner here for a friend. We had a reservation and got seated early.

Service was very attentive. Anytime our water needed a refill it happened. We also had great drink service and tried a few different old fashions with different whiskies.

We ordered appetizers, main course, and dessert. All of which were freshly prepared sans ready to devour. The meats were cooked perfectly to ordered temperature. The prime rib was fantastic and what the restaurant is known for. As it was my first time there I wanted to try the prime rib.

Had a really nice meal at this steakhouse.
As seems to be the going rate in St. Louis, their steaks range from $50ish through $70ish and up.
I actually had the Vienna Schnitzel. I thought it was really excellent. Oh and they use veal not pork. It came with a large portion of perfectly cooked broccoli.
The service and atmosphere were impeccable.
My one disappointment was the dessert. The apple pie was recommended to me because it was made in house. While the apples were cooked to perfection, someone really needs to teach the patissier how to make the crust. That bit needed work.
Anyway this restaurant is certainly an excellent place for a high-class, romantic meal. I will go again.

A nice venue but the food left a lot to be desired. We had the shrimp and seafood appetizer which tasted good but was a little difficult to eat. Caprese salad needed more vinaigrette and seasoning. The queen prime tasted good as well but was room temperature and over 50% fat. The fish of the day, walleye, was also not seasoned at all. Finally the baked potato came with just sour cream, no chives, butter, cheese, salt, pepper or anything else.

Coat check was very nice and our secondary waitress was also very kind.
