Everything we ordered at Koon was absolutely delicious. The Chicken Drunken Noodles were packed with flavor – perfectly balanced, fragrant, and just the right amount of spice. The Massaman Curry was rich, creamy, and incredibly comforting. Both dishes were incredibly satisfying. If you visit, these two are an absolute must-try. Already looking forward to coming back and ordering them again!

This restaurant was so cozy. Me and my mom loved all the dishes we chose! The fried calamari was so crispy and when you bid into it, it was tender. My mom ordered the green curry with chicken. They have other options of protein. I had the Pad See Eew with crispy pork and for dessert we had the Taro Custard.

Koon Taste of Siam in Chelsea is an absolute gem for anyone craving truly authentic Thai food. From the moment you step inside, the warm hospitality makes you feel like family. Their bold and balanced flavors is unmistakably homemade which you can taste everything is cooked with care and tradition. Dishes are beautifully seasoned with just the right mix of heat, sweetness, and spice. Portions are generous, ingredients are high quality, and prices are perfectly fair for the quality you’re getting. They also have a great choice of cocktails to complement the meal as well. Koon Taste of Siam is definitely recommended for Thai food lovers and it’s easily one of the best spots in NYC for authentic Thai cuisine.

Visited for lunch with my husband and loved literally everything we ordered from the menu. My absolute favs were the crispy duck rolls and also the basil fried rice with beef. Service was great and we really had a lovely experience. Definitely adding to my list of favorite Thai restaurants.

Very good cuisine and excellent service.

The food is clearly prepared by a very talented chef. We were five people, and all of us finished our plates.

I asked the waitress for a recommendation, and she suggested the Pineapple Roasted Duck Curry. It was delicious, nicely presented, and served with well-cooked rice.

I would recommend this place for a date or for a fun and original dinner — something a bit different from the usual options.
If you love Thai cuisine, this restaurant is definitely for you.

This Thai restaurant in Chelsea was such a great find. As soon as you walk in, the space feels warm, cozy, and inviting intimate but still comfortable, and perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

We started with appetizers, the spring rolls were crispy and fresh, but the roti with massaman curry dip really stole the show it was so good we had to order another serving. The Peking duck spring rolls were also a standout, perfectly crispy with a cheesy filling.

For our entrées, the crab fried rice was by far one of the best we’ve had. You can actually taste how fresh the crab is, and it’s generous throughout the dish. The Pad Thai with crispy duck came out exactly how I like it, crunchy duck, bold flavors, and that perfect balance of sweetness and tang.

On top of the food, the service was spectacular, Paul was so friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re in Chelsea and craving really good Thai food.

Great restaurant with good common Thai dishes. Pad Thai has good flavors, roasted duck is a great protein choice. Chicken satay was decent; personally, I would like to tone down the turmeric. Papaya salad was nice and spicy, hitting a the right flavors. Although, not sure why it would come with lettuce, which not a traditional papaya salad ingredient. Tom yum hot pot was….. warm, not hot. Despite that, I enjoyed the warm, sweet and sour soup with the large shrimps and side of rice.
The restaurant is small but very well decorated. The space is very welcoming. Staffs are friendly and polite.
Koon taste of Siam is a nice restaurant for a quick meal. I would recommend trying the noodle and rice dishes.

I walked in with a party of 8 at 6 PM and we were surprisingly seated immediately. It didn’t feel crowded or loud, just a nice place to sit down and eat but the crowd picked up towards the end of our dinner.

The Food:
We ordered a ton of food for the table and honestly, everything was great. You can’t really go wrong here.
• Pineapple Roasted Duck Curry: This was the winner. Best thing on the table. The duck was super tender and the curry sauce was perfect with the pineapple. Definitely get this.
• Crab Fried Rice: Actually had big chunks of real crab meat in it, not just little bits. Tasted fresh.
• Beef Pad See Ew: The noodles had that good smoky flavor and the beef wasn’t chewy.
• Shrimp Pad Thai: Really solid. Just a good, classic Pad Thai.
• Appetizers: We started with the Papaya Salad and Coconut Curry Soup—both were fresh and tasty.

The Service:
Quick and friendly. They handled our big group easily and the food came out fast.

The Verdict:
If you want awesome Thai food in Manhattan that can actually handle a group, this is the spot. I’d definitely come back just for that duck curry

My close friend and I went here on a Monday night to catch up on life. The restaurant was surprisingly busy.

We ordered 2 entrees: Khao Soi + Pad Thai with Beef, and ended with Taro Balls with coconut milk (everything to share). They did a great job with the crispy topping and spice of khao soi. But I think the star of the show was the taro ball dessert, as it was warm and perfect for a cold day like today. I just wish they had put less sauce on the pad thai so it wouldn’t be as salty.

Atmosphere wise, it was nice for a friendly conversation. We sat near the kitchen/bathroom and I had a sensitive nose, so I was sometimes bothered by the smell of the cleaning products… At least we avoided the cold near the entrance. I recommend sitting towards the middle area for an optimal dining experience.

Service was fast and efficient. The waiter constantly refilled our glass of water; the food came out at reasonable time and was always warm.

Overall, I would come back to Koon Taste of Siam with a friend, pick the middle seats and enjoyed taro balls w coconut. Our heart would all be happy and smiling!
