had an unfortunate experience at Waffle House in Hillsborough, NC #721 today 2/14/2026. Upon walking in, the team addressed everyone except us and proceeded to seat parties coming in after us. We waited a long time and watched as they expressed to eachother how they did not want to seat us. I stayed quiet and proceeded to pull out my camera to film as I do have one million followers across social media (Kathy’s reaction was “RECORD ALL DAY LONG, I DONT HAVE TO SERVICE YOU”.
The experience today was unfortunate and disturbing for my family and I all due to our skin color.

I just had the worst brunch experience ever at that place! There was literally a hair in my food, which totally killed my appetite. They were super understaffed, so the service was incredibly slow and we couldn’t get refills on our drinks. Also, they messed up our order and my waffle was completely forgotten. Honestly, I won’t be going back anytime soon!

I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the treatment my family and I received at Waffle House. What should have been a simple family meal turned into one of the most humiliating and traumatic dining experiences we have ever had.
When we arrived, no one greeted us. We stood there waiting to be acknowledged, but we were completely ignored. Eventually, we seated ourselves, hoping someone would come over to take our order. Instead, we were met with shocking behavior — the server outright refused to wait on us. As an African American family, it felt painfully clear that we were being treated differently because of how we look.
I was stunned. I never imagined I would experience something like this so openly and blatantly. When I attempted to address the situation with another employee, rather than resolving the issue, we were asked to leave. The servers name is KATHY There was no apology, no explanation, no attempt to make things right.
The most heartbreaking part was watching our 3-year-old toddler become scared and confused. He didn’t understand why we were being treated this way, but he could feel the tension and hurt. No family — especially one with a small child — should have to endure such treatment while simply trying to enjoy a meal together.
If this experience reflects the culture or standards of this establishment, that is extremely troubling. I left feeling angry, hurt, and disappointed. No one should ever feel unwelcome or discriminated against when walking into a restaurant. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone based on what my family went through.

Been eating here since I was a kid (about 30 years) I had breakfast here yesterday and the waiter was very nice! Went back this evening for dinner and received the same excellent service! I did have a little mishap with my hash brown bowl but the cook rectified and delivered it to the table himself with apologies. Our meal was just as good as our service both times! Finally making a come back! Keep up the great work Brian, your cooking is awesome and Eric your service was fantastic! You guys did great! Thank you for the great experience!

First off, the gentlemen that worked the register was friendly, staff seemed friendly, the atmosphere was neutral and pleasant. However, the order was not made to my expectations. I thought I was verbal and precise about how I wanted my food made.
The waffles was not done thoroughly as you can see. I specifically said WELL DONE, tough, dark brown, because it tastes extremely better that way, at least to me.
It’s such a disappointment and annoying when I can’t get the most simplest things done right. I don’t think it’s too much to ask when I state my preference as to how I want my food. I paid 15$+ for this meal. I don’t like writing bad reviews unless I think it’s necessary. Possibly the next time I come here you guys will do better and possibly see this review before we see each other again.

Do not go here! Especially if your travling looking for a break for food, it was a waste to drive here. Walked in NO ONE greeted us… we should have took that as our sign to leave, but we have a diabetic child and we were 2hrs away from home, so we walked in. There was empty tables taken by associates at least 3 counting money and tickets. (The whole left corner) Then 2 empty booths but both dirty, and we typically won’t sit at the bar top with a child, but he’s 8 and starving so we sat. NO ONE SAID ANYTHING! We made eye contact with multiple people but once a guy with a cleaning brush told everyone to “put their floaties on” and he was cleaning my husband asked me to leave. I have never had this horrible experience before and hope a District Manager views the camera for my 11/23 after 1:30. The worst service ever experienced. I do not get how they were rated 4 stars… that was the main reason we picked this spot, but be warned this place is not worth visiting!

Service was awful. My girlfriend order a singular chocolate chip waffle, and about 15 minutes after ordering we could see them making waffles for people that came in after us. I got a bacon egg&cheese hash brown bowl. Again I saw them making hash browns, eggs, and bacon for people that came in after us. When I finally got it, hash browns were burnt and they put a slice of cheese on top, not even melted. At one point my server came up to us with the wrong food and I said “I don’t think this is mine” in a calm voice; she responded “just give me a minute” with a snarky attitude. On top of all that, I got into a car accident as I was pulling out of Waffle House, I’m convinced it was my bad luck charm

Okay this is a waffle House so I went with the idea thr atmosphere supposed to be kind of retro vintage which it was. It seemed pretty. Our server was friendly and very cheerful and chatty. She filled our drink cups and was there as soon as we needed anything. We had breakfast. I had a hash browns and bacon egg sandwich which was pretty good. U especially like the thick white bread they used for the sandwich. My husband had a breakfast bowl. The hash browns were slightly soggy he said it was soso. Overall, it was a nice breakfast experience.
