This review is based on takeout. Service was attentive and pleasant in the store. Food took about 15 minutes to get ready… the food isn’t sitting outside drying up all day before you order. That made me excited, lol. I ordered the half chicken with arroz con grandules and red beans on top as my gravy. YUM. Took me back to PR food I grew up eating on St. Croix. Best Spanish food I’ve had in Newark since I’ve been here all these years… and I’ve only tried the half chicken so far

Came here with my husband before a show. This place is right around the block from the prudential center. We had the Pernil meal with tostones. Everything was absolutely delicious & the restaurant was super clean. The owners were so nice & the staff was so friendly !!! We will definitely be back 🙂

Visited here for the first time as a passerby and was blown away. I dined in solo and had the salmon, rice and vegetable entree. The plantains were made nice and crispy and the mango salsa was the cherry on top. To add to authenticity, I paired my meal with a classic Malta India. I’m a growing man and again, the food was great so I ordered a mofongo entree to go (which could have been easily eaten right then and there).

You have got to be KIDDING me. I can’t believe I am just finding out about this place! I ordered for the first time on door dash based on the good reviews. I was a little nervous because I’ve never tried them before. But…MAN ON MAN…it was OUTSTANDING. I ordered the pernil, with rice and potato salad. I also got the pork kabobs with rice. Wow…just WOW. Don’t walk….RUN to this restaurant. You can taste the love and attention to detail in every bite. Even for a DELIVERY order, the presentation of the food was amazing. 10 out of 10…highly recommend!!!
