Classic Japanese service – you are treated like king and/or queen. Michi served me at the bar solo. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and comfortable.

Nice option for sushi in the area. There are not a ton in Newport/Exchange and esp. near my office. They have the standard selection of fish that you’d expect from the more Americanized style sushi joints. I thought their offerings were fresh tho and it didn’t break the bank.

Spacious place at a nice location. Got chicken wings, popcorn shrimp and Alaska roll for appetizers along with green tea. All three tasted great, the portion size is a bit small for the appetizer but they are priced accordingly. Got chicken Tokyo fusion for main course, that’s enough for two people. Overall good taste, vibes and a very reasonably priced dinner costing only approx 20 per person.

We had lunch and brunch here a couple of times. The back of the restaurant was bigger and brighter than the front and had a nice water view. Service was friendly and efficient.

Fast, attentive servers. Went here a couple of times, and the food was great. Sushi tasted fresh and not frozen/fishy. Wasabi could use some help. The clam soup appetizer was excellent! We loved it. To top it off, there was a good view into NYC.

Had shrimp tempura udon, fried squid legs, and the funky monkey sushi roll. It was all great, covid precautions were very good too with barriers between table sections, along with a nice view of the water. Would recommend 🙂

Great lunch specials during the week, the tempura and curry are my fav. Once I had accidentally put the wrong time for pick up, I called to let them know and they kept it warm for me. So good, sometime I’ll actually sit in to eat.

From the outside this one lace looks quiet and plain, but actually it is quite lovely inside. The staff is attentive and I noticed that there were several sets of regulars around us which is always a good sign. I’m was surprised by the generous amount of fish in the maki. I can see this place becoming my go-to spot for the times when I want to go somewhere low-key, but with good quality traditional rolls or don.

Come on guys, really!? We order the Kaisen Chirashi all the time. BUT tonight, each of the premium fish was down to 1 a piece. Portion is clearly smaller than usual. And for $32.65? And the uni was not fresh at all. White tuna, octopus… 1 piece instead of 2. Never had this happen before. Very disappointing especially since this is the most expensive dish. Do better, Komegashi.
