First time at this place, we were greeted by a cherry Aloha!, which was great. I’m gluten intolerant, so I love that the Maui Garlic Chicken and the Kalua Pork are gluten free. I got the Big Luau plate with 2 meats some salad greens and brown rice. My husband ordered the Kalua pork and the Sweet Chili Teri Chicken. He also ordered the Musubi and the cake. The meat is so juicy and has great flavor. The portion size is good and I also have enough for my dinner. For comparison, we have eaten at MoBettahs and like Koconut Island Grill much better.
I’ll go back again. Aloha!

Are you hungry for some Hawaiian grill? This is a welcome food experience. We had the Big Luau with Sweet Chili Teri Chicken, and Kalua Pork with the macaroni salad and brown rice. We also had one with the Maui Garlic Chicken and another 6oz of Kalua Pork with a green salad.

Everything tasted moist and flavorful. We couldn’t go away without trying the Spam Musubi and Tropical Lava Cake. The cake was okay, a good sweet contrast to the salty and savory dishes. The spam Musubi was simple and delicious. Nothing extra special with any of the flavors.

On our visit, most of the staff were fairly new. Even though everyone was friendly, we had to question the portion size and make sure we got the correct portions of meat — 6oz each versus the 4oz for the smaller meal size. The atmosphere was cafeteria line style and basic. Check out the pictures. We enjoyed them better than Mo Bettahs Hawaiian cuisine that we have had in the recent past.

Buffet Style serviced food. So super fast, ready to eat. Perfect for on the go quick kine Hawaiian grill. Plenty seating and Coke products on the fountain tap.

Worst experience ever today. Out of white rice, teriyaki chicken and chili chicken (not told until after we paid), out of napkins, every table dirty and sticky when I mentioned it to the girl she bit my head off telling me they were short staffed (as she was standing around doing nothing), she also bit her co-workers head off when he asked about trying to add meat to a customers order to complete it. It took over an hour to order and receive our complete order. Food was severely lacking on flavor. The garlic chicken tasted like chicken and the tuna poke tasted like a mouthful of pepper. Half the soda were out of order. Food was just thrown in the container. The whole experience was a mess. The fact that I can’t make my own post shows they know how bad it is.

Our second time trying to eat here – always out of food way too early. VERY very slow!!!!!!! What food they had left (at 6pm) was barely ok. They were out of rice and almost all the meats. Brown rice was like eating popcorn kernels and the chicken dry, black, and hard. The serving surfaces and most tables were filthy. The trash cans were all overflowing, as though they hadn’t been emptied all day. We asked for it, and the tongs, to be cleaned off before serving us (we’d been in line for 40min and it hadn’t been wiped off once).
Had to send people away at 7pm because they had no food. Only head/cashier seemed to know what was going on- she was very pleasant.

This place is fire! Food on point. Tried 4 of the 5 meats between myself, wife, and twins. Didn’t have the pulled pork.

Out the gate, North shore chk’n was bussin’ w/ portions on point!

Yes, some of the tables were sticky due to high traffic. A designated floor walker would be a huge win for how busy this location is. Plenty to do during peak hours with tables, drinks, and trash. That said, some of these reviewers are pathological in their retelling of their experiences. I have no tie to any restaurant or food place. Yet I know crazy when I read it and some of these novice reviewers need a chill pill for sure. Why the vendetta? Food reviews are constructive in nature and should never be destructive. Tell an experience vs. complaint burping. ️

This establishment has better tasting food and larger portions than ‘other’ Hawaiian plates except for Lo Lo Hawaiian. That place is on par for portions. “You’ve met your match.”

Let’s not forget that you can pay for Larger Portions here as well. Not one portion complainer that I read with reviews mentioned they paid for the larger portion meal and didn’t get what’s promised. You other reviewers have been put on blast! You know who you are.

I was fortunate to be there during the 6pm rush when I went on a Friday and no food ran out. Busy? Absolutely. Food shortage? Not on my watch. ‍♂️If it’s a regular thing then that is critical feedback to build on.

TLDR
• Mac salad = peppery delight!
• Katsu chicken needs a dipping partner (teriyaki?) Plenty crunchy.
• Chili Spice Grilled chicken on point. Not too much heat.
• North Shore Chicken w/ the sauce = perfection!
• Paid for the larger portion and they came through.

Thought I’d get the meat sweats, but walked away full and grateful for a different Hawaiian food experience. Will be going back for that spam musubi

This was such a great experience! I’ve wanted to try Kokonut Island Grill since they opened this location and I was so pleased. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and what was popular. They were able yo answer my questions very well and were quick to put my food together. The pork is a 10/10!

It may just be the new restaurant atmosphere, but the food is absolutely delicious! The staff are super friendly and helpful. I’m pumped to bring my family back for a big dinner!

Food was good but kinda pricey. They got my sisters order wrong (ordered the fried chicken and got pork). Mac salad was different (peppery).

This is not a poke bowl- it was rice, tuna and spicy mayo- NO toppings at all. Nothing!
Super expensive for such a plain bowl.

The luau plates seemed much better quality
