Not a fancy place, but the server was very friendly, kept the coffee cups filled and overall did a great job. The food was good and reasonably priced. I will eat here again.

Stopped here for a late lunch and was fo sho pleased with the food. The Jumbo BBQ sandwich plate will make a farm boy fall asleep on the tractor and the fried fish that I got a sample of from my partner was hot, tender and cooked just right. Super service by Linda. I bookmarked this spot for a return trip as the police officers mentioned that the burgers are as good as the BBQ. Linda has tempted me with Peach Cobbler and ice cream. My partner may have to drive home.

Xavier has been a server for 3 days and is doing a great job. He was a little short handed but the cook team came out and helped. I overheard one of them say “this is what we do, we help each other”. Great food and perfect sized portions. Kudos to everyone.

Love Kissells Kitchen! Fried catfish is amazing! I’m super picky about fried catfish. Growing up in a southern family that celebrated every summer with fish fries on the weekends, I know what I like. Their fish and hushpuppies are delicious. Try their house chips when you go…crunchy and a great starter. The restaurant is always was super clean and inviting. I love the rustic decor that is pieces of Lauderdale county history collected over many years. Alot of cool things you don’t see often anymore. The waiters and waitresses are all super sweet also so you can’t help but leave a generous tip for going above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need…including a to-go cup for your leftover sweet tea! I definitely recommend Kissells Kitchen if you’re looking for some great food and good people!.

I am out traveling on the road again. I get a chance to try out various cafes, diners and restaurants in small cities and big cities. I’m in Ripley Tennessee and I tried kissell’s kitchen. I was excited to try their eggs benedict but I found that they didn’t serve it. As a matter of fact no one in town does. I decided to have their standard breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised.
Two eggs OE, bacon (crisp and dry), no toast (I opted for a biscuit) with a side of sausage gravy.
$5.49 breakfast, small coffee $1.39, hash brown $2.29 and side of gravy $1.89. Everything was perfect. The bacon was crisp and dry, the eggs were over easy and the sausage and gravy was not too peppery. When in this part of tennessee, Ripley, I highly recommend you try out not only their breakfast but there are other barbecue and unusual items. Also try their redneck egg rolls.
I don’t want to finish without giving my waitress, Linda a “job well done”. She was very pleasant.

Food is great, wait times can be a little long. The burgers can be hit or miss. I’ve had great burgers there and mediocre ones too. Sometimes the burgers can be pretty dry, other times they’re nice and juicy. The Philly egg roll is pretty good, but just a bit greasy.
