There was no wait and we were immediately greeted by friendly staff and sat down at a table. We were then immediately given drinks by our friendly server. Even though Kinya is obviously known for their ramen, don’t be hesitant to try out on their sushi as well! We got the love boat and they were very accommodating about what we could switch out on the boat and I was very appreciate of that! The wait time was not long at all for the sushi and I was pleasantly surprised when the sushi came out.
The presentation was beautiful and I could tell the sushi chefs take pride in their work. Even the garnish was placed nicely around. The sashimi pieces were THICK! They did not skimp out at all when it came to that. The other sushi places I’ve been to will give a moderate amount of fish but Kinya was very generous with it. Each slice of sashimi at Kinya was like a normal slice of 2-3 pieces of sashimi at other places. The fish was very fresh and the salmon sashimi almost had a buttery taste, it was that fresh and good! The Ocean Dream Roll was also super delicious! Seared raw scallops and white fish on top with a creamy white sauce and the crisp cucumber helped cut some of the rich flavor to create the perfect combo and balance of flavors; definitely my favorite thing! The nigiri and salmon roll was delicious too! There were many other kinds of fish I didn’t even know the name to on there, but all I know was that they were delicious. It was A LOT of food and my friend and I were stuffed.
Service was very good, everyone was very attentive and kind. We will definitely come back next time to try their ramen and yakitori!
The sashimi sampler was a good amount of fish for the price. No complaints there.
You also can’t go wrong with their yakitori. Their momo is a good option for picky eaters, and their chicken hearts are good if you are a little more adventurous.
The atmosphere can be a little lively, depending on the night, but it can also be more chill. It really depends on the evening.
Overall, a great option for a group of friends to share appetizers, eat some ramen or sushi, and enjoy a drink or two.
